If you’re one of those people who think that simply painting over your interior walls will do the trick, you’re wrong because you’ll be doing this at the risk of ruining your entire paint job. The damage to the drywall will make it difficult for the paint to stick and will lead to flaking, causing your interiors to look shoddy.

Here’s a quick tip from J Brown Painting if you happen to have holes in your wall that need fixing before you carry out your next interior paint job:

Using a putty knife, apply some filler into the hole and smooth it out to completely cover the hole. When the filler dries, apply another layer, smooth it, and let it dry. Finally, use sandpaper to smooth out the area.
