What if you need security camera footage from an area with no nearby power connection?

Think: RV storage lots, parking areas, dumpsters, or remote sections of a large property.

That was the challenge at Mira Vista, a large mobile home community dealing with break-ins near its RV storage area, illegal dumping, and repeated golf cart thefts. The existing cameras only covered a small portion of the property, leaving several areas with limited visibility.

Our team at Ameritechs worked to expand coverage across the community using Uniview security cameras, wireless connections, and solar-powered setups where traditional infrastructure wasn't practical.

The result? Roughly 30 cameras providing coverage throughout the park, with footage from all areas easily accessible to management through one app.

One of the biggest takeaways from this project? Security coverage should start with where the problems are happening, not just where installing a camera is easiest.

When residents are reporting repeated attempted break-ins at the same entrance, simply having a camera there isn't enough.

That was the concern at Pinnacle Marina Tower in downtown San Diego, where a frequently used side entrance had become the site of multiple attempted break-ins.

The building already had surveillance in place, so Ameritechs worked with property management to strengthen security around the entrance without replacing the entire system.

We added two 8MP ColorVu Active Deterrence cameras to provide additional coverage, along with intrusion alerts, audio and strobe capabilities that gave management more ways to monitor and respond to activity around the door.

For Pinnacle's property manager, the difference wasn't just the equipment. "The team is extremely passionate and we feel so much safer," shared Nicola Vezzali.

Sometimes better security isn't about starting over, it's about making what you already have work better.
