OVERVIEW:

Journeyman Electrician for Reyes & Sons Electric; installing new electrical systems and repairing existing electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes along with all Reyes & Sons Electric policies and procedures.

JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial electrical systems
• Use industry related hand tools and power tools. OSHA 10/30
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. various conduit and install wire and electrical cable systems,conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
• Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers,
• distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
• Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
• Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
•Underground Electrical.
• Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
• Maintain workflow schedule to ensure all Reyes & Sons Electric productivity objectives are met.
• Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.
• Adhere to all Reyes & Sons Electric safety policies and procedures

- Assist the PM
-Support the project and project team members

Job description
Reyes & Sons Electric, Inc. is looking for a Electrical Project Manager to join our team. The PM will be responsible for various electrical projects under contract and in our pipeline. We are looking for a person who is experienced in this trade and who would enjoy to work in a family oriented organization. We seek to learn from the PM as well as introduce them to our way of completing electrical projects. Position will be responsible for planning, operations, financials, purchasing, and cost controlling. Ultimately the PM will help execute our portfolio of projects from start to successful completion.

Experience & Qualifications:

-5+ years experience in Electrical Construction Project Management.

-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Successful candidates will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Primary focus is electrical estimating, including technology and all low-voltage systems
• Assist in estimating system training (take-off process / Bluebeam / Conest)
• Must have ability to assist to prepare detailed electrical estimates.
• Understand Electrical and Low Voltage project scope of work
• Developing project take-offs, and equipment counts based upon the specifications and drawings
• Participate in the value engineering process
• Prepare General Conditions estimates
• Support Business Development in proposal creation
• Write scope letters inclusive of clarification & exceptions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Any electrical estimating experience in commercial and government sector: LAUSD, MTA, CIty of LA, local school districts
• Experience with preparing, completing and reviewing complex estimates with senior management decision makers.
• Experience with all three delivery models: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Assist-Build and Design-Build.
• Knowledgeable and competent at quickly evaluating and estimating VE solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Knowledge of Conest/Accubid and / or Live Count Estimating Program.
• Experience and strong knowledge in advanced construction estimating processes like structural, architectural and mechanical documents and specifications and their impact on electrical scope
• Quick learner to grasp existing estimating process and procedures.
• Comfort with and experience in direct customer interviews, as they related to identifying and articulating the perceived electrical scope.
• Knowledge and experience with building, reviewing and evaluating estimating assemblies.
• REYES has a fast paced/ family environment and a strong work ethic is required.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Able to review BOM of subcontractors, suppliers and material quotes. Determine completeness, compliance with bid documents and make recommendation to Executives.
