New journal, same quality-control supervisor. 🐶

Really enjoying this branded leather-bound journal from tgl_design_studio. Simple, well made, and just enough personality in case this gets misplaced, someone will know I lost it.

Bringing high-end dental design to the heart of Daly City! 📐✨

MZK Architecture + Design (MZKAD) is officially in the Entitlements phase for our latest project: a luxury dental studio located in a premier Daly City shopping mall.

Building in a major retail hub requires a specialized approach. We are currently navigating the complex entitlements process—which we expect to wrap up in the next 3–4 weeks—ensuring every technical medical requirement aligns perfectly with high-end aesthetic standards.

The Project Roadmap:
1️⃣ Entitlements (In Progress - 3-4 Weeks)
2️⃣ Permitting
3️⃣ Construction

At MZKAD, we don’t just design spaces; we manage the complex hurdles that make luxury medical TIs possible. From Daly City to the rest of the Bay Area, we’re setting a new standard for patient-centric design.

Visit us at www.mzkad.com to see how we’re transforming the dental experience.

Excited to be partnering with a developer on another hillside residence in Montclair Hills, Oakland.

Designing in steep terrain requires more than aesthetics. It demands early coordination, strategic entitlement planning, and a deep understanding of grading, structural systems, and neighborhood context. With experience across eight hillside lots and seven additional entitled parcels, we approach these projects with clarity and discipline.

Each hillside site presents constraints. The opportunity lies in turning those constraints into architecture that feels intentional, grounded, and market ready.

Looking forward to bringing this one to life.

Installing a custom residential lift for a private client and longtime friend in Palo Alto. Designed to integrate seamlessly into the architecture, this addition prioritizes accessibility, mobility, and long term livability without compromising refined aesthetics.

Aging in place is not an afterthought. It is a design decision. By incorporating vertical access early in the planning process, we are creating a home that supports independence, safety, and comfort for years to come. Quiet performance, clean detailing, and material continuity ensure the lift feels fully embedded within the residence rather than appended to it.

Thoughtful design serves both present living and future needs.

Awarded.

Our federally funded roof remodel project is officially moving forward, and we could not be more proud of the team effort behind it. Public-sector projects demand more than construction expertise. They require coordination, compliance, documentation discipline, and a contract structure that protects all stakeholders.

San Francisco, we are building something special.

Here is a little look behind the curtain at our second Turtle Tower location. This is how the space comes together, tools out, tarps up, and the dining room taking shape day by day. We are putting the same care into this space as any other.

Dine-in is opening soon, and the TT team cannot wait to welcome you in.

Until then, Turtle Tower is open now for takeout and delivery, so you can keep the pho flowing while we finish the final touches.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for carrying this local legacy with us. See you very soon.
