PLUS is delighted to welcome Neha Niranjan as a Junior Landscape Architect at our Bangalore office.

Neha is a passionate landscape architect with a Master’s degree from CEPT University. Her interests lie in ecological restoration and research, while she is also deeply curious to explore and study the diverse ecosystems across India. Before pursuing her postgraduate studies, Neha worked as an architect at VSLA in Bangalore, where she contributed to landscape projects of varying scales. In addition to her professional experience, she actively volunteers for NGOs and small organizations focused on wilderness restoration and wildlife conservation. Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, Neha aims to contribute to the rewilding of landscapes across the country.

Proficiency in graphic representation; must be fluent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

PLUS is a research-focused, multidisciplinary landscape and urban design studio based in Bengaluru. We’re looking for a talented early-career architect or landscape architect who is ambitious, self-driven, and eager to grow a practice within our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape your own path.
You’ll work at the intersection of urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, thoughtful material use, and social impact. We’re seeking someone ready to lead projects, take initiative, and collaborate closely with our design team and clients.

Thrilled to have presented our Urban Gardens Project at Restoring Natural Ecologies 2024, hosted by ERA-India at the beautiful Asia Plateau, Panchgani!  

The event was filled with ecological explorations, engaging conversations, and new connections. We thank everyone who attended our talk for showing great interest in our work and for the incredible response to the announcement of our upcoming website and guidebook, which we hope to launch soon. Your enthusiasm keeps us motivated to continue working on similar lines!

🌱✨ Exciting News! ✨🌱

We are thrilled to announce that PLUS has been selected as a grantee for the 2024 cohort of the Bangalore Sustainability Forum (BSF) Small Grants Programme! We are honoured to have as our knowledge partner on this project. Their expertise and guidance will play a crucial role in helping us create impactful and meaningful ecological interventions.

The Greens on Wheels project has been in the making for some time, born out of extensive research and insights gained through the Urban Gardens Bengaluru project. It represents our heartfelt commitment to nurturing a thriving urban ecosystem in Bengaluru by empowering individuals to reimagine and transform their green spaces. As part of the project, a mobile nursery aimed at promoting native plants across Bengaluru will travel to communities, schools, and urban spaces to inspire greener, more sustainable neighborhoods. 🌿

PLUS is delighted to welcome Viral Mehta as part of our Summer Internship Program 2024.

Viral Mehta is a landscape designer, architect, and researcher with a profound interest in ecology and conservation. Growing up in the coastal landscapes of Gujarat, her early connection to nature deeply influences her design thinking, which seeks to harmonize urban environments with natural systems.

After graduating from CEPT University, she has worked on ecologically responsible design and research projects in India for over 5 years with organizations like INDÉ, the LEAF Foundation, and Thumb impressions. Currently pursuing an MSc in Landscape Architecture at ETH Zürich as an ESOP and INLAKS scholar, Viral aims to expand her expertise in addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss.

Welcome Vishal PJ to Our Team as Landscape Architect!

We are thrilled to have Vishal PJ join us as a Landscape Architect. A passionate professional, Vishal combines his expertise in architecture with a deep commitment to social issues. He graduated from RV College of Architecture in Bengaluru with a Bachelor’s in Architecture in 2020 and recently completed his Master’s in Landscape Architecture at CEPT University, Ahmedabad in 2024.

His academic research delves into critical themes such as marginalization, oppression, ecology, and livelihoods. Notably, his papers “Exclusionary Redevelopment: Atrocities on the Kani Community” and “Assessing the Role of People-Resource Relationships in the Redevelopment of Urban Waters” were presented at the ISOLA Conference 2024 in Bhopal.

Prior to joining PLUS as a Junior Landscape Architect, Vishal worked with a Bangalore-based NGO, focusing on low-cost housing solutions in rural Karnataka and advocating for the rights of construction workers in Bangalore.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Vishal enjoys storytelling through writing, charcoal, and photography. We look forward to the creativity and insights he will bring to our team!
