The landscape features maintained by this CFD are within the area known as Evergreen Specific. It is roughly bound by Quimby Road, Murillo Avenue, Ruby Avenue, Fowler Road, Yerba Buena Road, Delta Road and San Felipe Road. Besides the typical roadway landscaping, this special district includes the plaza and fountain in the Village Plaza, three lakes, two creek corridors, nine pocket parks and six
paseos (landscaped walkways). Tree Services
The primary street tree in the Evergreen residential areas is the Yarwood sycamore (Platanus acerifolia ‘Yarwood’). In the common areas, there are also many purple leafed plum trees (Prunus cerasifera), crabapple trees (Malus sp.) and Weeping Willows(Salix babilonica) around the three lakes. The queen palms (Syagrus romanzoffianum) in the Village square are mirrored by the historic Washingtonia fan palms (Washingtonia robusta) in the Fowler Rotary just to the east. Native California live oak (Quercus agrifolia) trees are abundant in the Fowler, Quimby and Evergreen creeks are dotted throughout the landscapes. Tree management services are provided for all trees in the public areas, and all street trees in the public right-of-way, including residential streets. These services include:
