Adengo Architecture Architecture and Urban planning affect the way we live. Our architecture and urbanism practice is grounded in research and multidisciplinary collaboration. M.

As a firm we work with our clients and collaborators to develop innovative design concepts that are sustainable and in equilibrium with the ecosystem. Recent projects have focused on affordable housing in Kampala, Uganda. The firm is led by Doreen Adengo, a Ugandan architect based in Kampala. After completing her undergraduate and graduate studies at the Catholic University and Yale, respectively,

she worked in London, Washington DC, and New York for Adjaye Associates, Robert A. Stern Architects, Ellerbe Becket, and Gruzen Samton Architects. She has taught at The New School and Pratt Institute in New York and the Makerere University in Kampala. She is currently a part-time lecturer at the Faculty for the Built Environment at Uganda Martyrs University and a visiting critic at the University of Johannesburg’s Graduate School of Architecture.
