A plumbing company should never ask you for a deposit before they have even been to the job. Do not send money electronically to any company that requests this. We recently had a person inform us that due to some spyware on their phone, they received a call posing to be a plumber and requested a deposit before coming out. Lucky we called back before the money was sent and let them know it was not us. Be careful! These scammers are getting creative.
