My last, last main service upgrade job. I had to help out a customer with a Zinsco panel that was burning up. I’m always happy to help but next week I’ll be reminded by my body of what I did over the weekend.
Be safe and smart out there! Call me anytime if you have electrical questions. I’m no longer going to be doing electrical work unless the wold is in dire need. Yes indeed I am hanging up my 18 pound tool bags. I am ok with that because I’m on a new path and I’m doing even more for the planet than ever.

A different kind of electrical project last Friday. Luckily, I wasn’t connecting anything within the building. I just had to provide my own electrical impulses through my arms and legs in a timely manner. I absolutely love playing the drums and was extremely lucky to record at the famous Atomic Garden in Oakland. Masks and distancing of course but it was still amazing. Thank you Mom and Dad for letting me play the drums in your house as a kid!!!

Our Story

After 3 years of training solar installers and contractors across the United States, product research and development, company training videos with audio voiceover, and product instruction manual development, I am changing course. Although it was definitely some of the greatest times of my life, I am moving forward with a new endeavor that I am very excited about.

As a California State C-10 electrical contractor, and my persistent knowledge within the solar industry, I am proud to announce Douglas Doherty Consultation and Inspection Services. As the solar industry drives to become more and more part of the residential sector, some solar energy systems sometimes get lost or left out of the sale of the home. My service provides detailed safety code compliant and critical reports about existing solar energy systems. Including estimates for recommendations and/or for replacements due to failures. With over 5 megawatts of solar energy installed and 18 years in the electrical industry, I hope to continue to help educate and problem solve for people about the great benefits of solar and battery back up energy.
