Good afternoon Sweeps Peeps! I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday! We recently serviced a beautiful log set, where the customer noted inconsistent flames throughout the log set, which hadn't been serviced in a few years. Upon arrival, we discovered that a duraflame log had been burned on top of the gas log set, which is not recommended. We thoroughly cleaned the log set, redistributed the sand and glowing embers material, and ensured everything was in working order. Additionally, we conducted a thorough roof inspection at the vent and confirmed the customer's safety to operate for years to come. As a reminder, whether gas or wood burning, it's recommended to have your fireplace serviced and cleaned every other year, or annually if you burn a cord of wood per year.
