I'm finally getting a chance to get back to posting some videos from our trip and here's a barn Robin took us to in Toledo, WA. We didn't leave with much because I was anxious to get into the house and garden, but the sheer volume of bottles was a stunner. Bins, boxes and tubs full. I got bored of them after a bit but stayed longer than I would have in California because I didn't have to worry about Rattlesnakes! I ended up with the tiger planter, some doll parts (of course!) and a few fun bottles. And Robin learned Ellen's trick about using denture cleaner to remove the scale off of old bottles (works like a champ!)

Check out our new sweet ride! And those vintage swim lockers in the most wonderful shade of blue! And those flags are from 1976! We will be open on Father's Day from 11-6 and look forward to seeing you.

We're still digging through all our finds and today we focused on several new sections including putting the finishing touches on our new and improved Adventure section. We will do a store tour video soon, but for today, please enjoy how all the fishing poles, maps, National Park treasures, creels and books came together so nicely. And thank YOU again for following along with us! Your comments and feedback has been wonderful to hear and we appreciate every word!

We just finished another great day of unboxing, cleaning, organizing and pricing and will be back open tomorrow from 11-7. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek of the garden theme display that Daniel's putting together including those vintage gnomes and birdhouses. We will post more photos tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Today was the day we began unboxing all the treasures from our trip and even with 6 people and a 10 hour day, there's so much more that needs to be done. In addition to the unboxing, cleaning and pricing, we're revamping 5 displays and changing up the windows, so we're going to be closed again tomorrow. Here's a video with some of today's efforts and we will be posting more tomorrow, too. There's so much variety and we can't wait to show off everything off 🤞🏻tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Daniel revamped the sales floor while we were gone to include moving this 48 drawer beauty from the front window to the first moment as you walk in on the left. This is an antique file cabinet from, we estimate, the 1920's-ish and these were usually found in Attorney offices, County Clerk offices, Banks and other places that had a lot of documents to file. The nicer ones were steel with brass accents on the drawers like this and we've had so many comments about it since he moved it that I thought the backstory would be fun to share again. You can see by the photos how rough of shape it was in when we go it - you couldn't even tell the handles and label holders were brass. I knew by the photos it was a diamond in the rough and after some very intense elbow grease by a very talented friend, it's now a show stopper. These were often painted green and I asked him to take the drawer fronts as well as cabinet sides down to the steel and shine up the brass. It turned out better than we could have imagined and we're honestly shocked it's still available. These are hard to come by and we're happy to enjoy it front and center until it finds its forever home. It's listed on our website and we are happy to work with your shipping company.

Just in time for Graduation, Ellen's new and improved Party Animals are back! Turtles & Tortoises, Ostriches, Tigers, Ponies, Alligators, Dinosaurs and so much more. Ellen makes them using the vintage plastic animals we find (thanks for sourcing this last batch, Krebsy!) and Ellen sasses them all up with vintage ribbon, bobbles and bits. We are open until 8 tonight, tomorrow from 11-8 and Sunday, 11-6.

After visiting the glove leather factory, we made sure to stop by Junk In Da Trunk and see Flint & Tami. Their space is at the end of Tower Street in Centralia and is always first on my list to dig. Their building is over 100 years old and it is filled to the brim with industrial, toys, farming, tools, signs, smalls, hardware, and so much more PLUS there's the back yard which is where i always start. Flint organizes everything by material and type so it's easier to shop. We left with some cast iron table legs, lots of metal bits and pieces for my art, some fun finds from his showroom and lat.but not least, I did buy that heavy industrial table saw base and Flint is going to strip off the motor and steel plate I don't want and hold it until I get back up there to pick it up (another road trip, darn! 🤣) Melissa took lots of photos of the metal patinas (you would have a field day here, Melissa) and it was a great stop!

Our great Pacific Northwest journey was a whirlwind and we didn't get to post as fast as things were happening 🤣 Now that we're home all safe and sound, I thought I'd get caught up on some of our adventures. This post features a pick we did in Centralia and we found much more than we expected to! There was so much great vintage gardening stuff and Melissa texted Daniel asking him if he wanted to expand on a garden section, and he gave it a a big thumbs up. The Savage washing & drying machine is mostly copper and makes a great island, the firetruck is beyond cute, I use the old accordians in my art and the gingerbread/fret work has to be my favorite find for this spot.

Please meet Phil. He's a friend of Robin's and months ago, I jumped at the chance of getting these three industrial cast iron bases off the machinery in an old knitting factory. Then, I realized I needed some help taking them apart, which would make it a heck of a lot easier to get the parts I wanted home. Robin made a quick call and this kind (and strong) man made sure they were stripped down and ready for us to pick up today. In addition, he waited for us to go get our trailer at Robin's AND made sure the rest of the trailer packing was all finished before he left. What a GEM! His only stipulation was he needs photos of what I make with the bases and I promised I would. ❤️

After a good wash, these three bases will be ready to transform. The round one is especially cool with the antique gold pinstriping. Stay tuned!
