Which thermostat strategy are you using this summer? 🌡️👇

When it comes to saving money and staying cool, everyone seems to have a different strategy:

1️⃣ The Shut-Off: Turning the AC completely off when you leave the house to avoid paying for cooling when nobody's home.

2️⃣ The Quick Chill: Turning the temperature up while you're away and then turning it way down to 60° when you get home.

3️⃣ The Set-and-Forget: Keeping it at one steady, consistent temperature 24/7.

This is one of the most debated topics in home comfort. Drop your number in the comments and tell us why your method works best! 💬❄️

Is your toilet running randomly when no one touched it? 🚽

That phantom flush in the middle of the night usually means one thing: a worn-out toilet flapper. Over time, rubber flappers warp, crack, or get coated in mineral buildup, letting water leak slowly from the tank into the bowl.

How to test it in 10 seconds: > Drop a few drops of food coloring into your toilet tank. Wait 15–20 minutes without flushing. If color shows up in the bowl, your flapper isn't sealing anymore!

The Good News: > Replacing a flapper is one of the easiest $10 DIY fixes in your home. Shut off the water behind the toilet, unhook the old chain, swap the rubber flapper, and reconnect.

Not comfortable tackling it yourself, or is the leak coming from somewhere else? Give us a call at +1 760-933-3691—we're always happy to help! 🛠️💧

Debunking the biggest HVAC myth out there! 🛑👇

Closing vents in unused rooms doesn't save you money—it can chokes your system, increase static pressure, and can contribute to your coils freezing over.

Keep those vents open and let your system breathe! 💨

Want your AC to run efficiently and cool every room evenly? Try these 5 quick maintenance tips today! ❄️👇

1️⃣ Clean Your Outdoor Coils 🧼 Wash away dirt, dust, and grass clippings. Clean coils help lower drop energy bills and keep your system running smooth.

2️⃣ Trim Shrubs Back 2 Feet 🌿 Your compressor needs room to "breathe." Keep a 2-foot clear zone around the unit for maximum airflow.

3️⃣ Unblock Return Vents 🛋️ Don't let couches, beds, or curtains block your main return vents. Your AC can't cool your home evenly if it can't circulate the warm air back through the system!

4️⃣ Keep All Supply Vents Open 🚪 Closing vents in unused rooms doesn't save money—it builds up pressure, strains your system, and can contribute to the coil freezing. Keep'em open!

5️⃣ Leave Interior Doors Open 🏠 Open bedroom doors keep air circulating freely back to your AC, helping prevent hot spots.

A little maintenance goes a long way toward summer comfort! Tried these and still dealing with warm rooms? Drop a comment or send us a message—we’re happy to check your ductwork and performance! 📞💨

Did you know installing your air filter backward can actually suffocate your HVAC system? 💨🏹

If your AC is running constantly but your house still feels warm, your system might just be starving for air. A clean filter is only half the battle—it has to be facing the right way!

Here is what you need to look for next time you swap it out:

Find the Arrow: Look at the outer cardboard edge of your new filter. You’ll see a printed arrow.

Check the Direction: That arrow MUST point in the direction of the airflow—which is always toward your furnace/air handler unit, not away from it.

When the filter is backward, the reinforced wire mesh can't support the cardboard under high pressure. It restricts your airflow, forces your system to run hotter, and can even cause your AC coils to freeze solid. ❄️🛑

Do a quick double-check on your filter today!
