Happy Arbor Day!
Behind the scenes at SeaWorld San Diego, tree care is about more than appearance—it’s about safety, sustainability, and long-term health. Today is a reminder of just how important proper tree stewardship really is.
At SeaWorld, certified arborists play a critical role in maintaining the beauty and health of a large collection of iconic Mexican fan palms, as well as pruning away seed pods and dead fronds to protect high-traffic environments. With expert support from Blue Wave Tree Care and the right equipment from Bandit and Cal-Line Equipment, these trees are cared for the right way.
Even better? Nothing goes to waste. Arborist mulch from trimmings is reused to enrich soil and support healthier landscapes across the park.
