As a Journeyman/Foreman Electrician your primary responsibilities will be to manage and perform high quality electrical projects to ensure the highest level of customer service to our clients. This position requires constant communication with both field members, management and clients.

Job Description:

An electrical journeyman/foreman is in charge of large and complex projects that employ many different electricians at the same time, and supervises the project as a whole, from the large-scale down to the details. On such a project, a foreman is responsible for planning, customer relations, material management, quality control, providing on-site direction and leadership for workers in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines that include quality standards, time requirements, and budget considerations.

Job Duties:

Managing a team, evaluating employees' progress, training new team members, attending meetings, identifying conflicts, and resolving problems are all personnel responsibilities that an electrical foreman may have. Other work responsibilities often include organizing and planning a construction project, directing work, inspecting installations for quality, making sure code standards are met, and ensuring job safety.

Job Requirements:

• Valid California Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5+ years of Journey level electrical experience
• Apprentice Certification
• Journeyman Certification
• Must Pass Drug Test

Typical Schedule:

• Monday – Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

ABOUT LEVA ELECTRIC, INC.

Located in Santa Clara and serving the San Francisco Bay Area, Leva Electric is an Electric Contractor seeking Electrician Journeyman and Electrician Foreman to man multiple job sites.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent.
Five or more years of experience in related trade.
Supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid California driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

English language skills.
Advanced electrical installation, troubleshooting, construction and maintenance skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Personal computer and keyboarding skills.
Ability to perform math computations needed in trade.
Ability and willingness to be on call and/or respond to calls 24/7.
Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, and safe use of power tools and trade hand tools.
Must demonstrate proficiency in area of certification prior to advancement to this level.
Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
Operating knowledge of electrical repair and maintenance equipment and efficient use of repair parts and tools required for hire
