I realize everyone gets busy but, if you don’t have time to listen to me explain your plumbing issues and why you have them. Then you are spending your hard earned money without context.
Sure plumbing terminology can be difficult but it’s knowledge We offer to build trust into the relationship.

Company and consumer relationships will not survive without communication.

Doing customer service digitally and call centers is NOT customer service. It’s robotic an it takes human element out of meeting or exceeding expectations from both/all parties involved.
It will always make it more hard for one party to efficiently do their job.

Less is not more.

I realize I am considered terrible at scheduling. However, the other party has to be receptive of things not in my control. 30 minute jobs sometimes are 8 hour jobs. 8 hour jobs sometimes are 30 minute jobs. Part/material availability. Traffic and road construction. Change of customer schedules. Previous job has us covered in mud/poo/water, now we have to change before we arrive at the next house. Driving my shop/office to your home has a lot of moving parts. We are BLESSED to have so many customers that the work is stacked up. I WILL get to everyone. You will get the same quality work regardless of how busy we are.

No matter how new or old your home is. These temperatures will freeze partial or all your water lines and possibly some drains. YOU MUST LET YOUR FAUCETS RUN A STEADY STREAM OF EQUAL HOT AND COLD WATER. DRIPPING will not work.
You must cover all outside faucets. Styrofoam covers, towels wrapped around, blankets, etc... will help. Close all house vents and close all crawl spaces up.
You must open cabinet doors, closets and un used rooms so heat can circulate. HANG BLANKETS OVER WINDOWS AND DOORS.
At this temp, thermal loss is greater than normal. You must turn your heater up higher than you want to. Get supplemental heat in areas of plumbing. If your hot water tank or washer is in the garage. You must get supplemental heat for those areas.
I certainly understand not having money to spend on these things but if your pipes freeze and burst. What you spent on heaters is going to be trivial.
Not any house built in Oklahoma is prepared to handle these temps sustained. Bite the bullet and take the effort to deal with your plumbing or your property will suffer.
I hate to sound harsh but truth hurts.

Plumbers can use a thaw machine but, only on certain plumbing and situations. We are not magicians. We have no secret. We simply are willing to freeze to death and crawl around through your home to protect your pipes.
Most honest plumbers are swamped with calls right now. We will get to everyone the fastest we can. Thawing out homes is typically not a all day job. So if your plumber has charged you for long hours. You might want to verify what was done and why so long. He/she could be absolutely honest but he/she could have not been honest.
Expect emergency fees from plumbers during the weekends and nights. You wouldn’t work those hours for your job unless you were paid properly. Don’t expect us too either.

Get supplemental heat. Yes, every place is sold out of them right now so you may have to call places hourly to see if they got some in. Stay on top of it.

Fix-Rite Plumbing & Drain is available 24-7. I probably can’t rush immediately right out because I’ve already got a list but, if you do what I’ve listed above and are willing to wait on me. I will come as soon as I can.

Disconnect all outside faucets, close up ventilation doors on crawl spaces. Open cabinets and closet doors that contain outside wall plumbing.
