Getting a new hot tub ready takes more than simply connecting it to power.

Sometimes, things aren't what they seem. This Sandpoint hot tub installation appeared to have some of the hook-up components ready to go from the previous homeowner, but once it was connected, the breaker kept flipping.

After troubleshooting the cause, we discovered the disconnect was faulty and needed replaced.

Now everything works as it should, providing the true relaxation and peace of mind it was intended for.

Burned plugs and melted cords are more than wear and tear—they’re warning signs that a connection is overheating.

We were called out because the cord melted.

We replaced the damaged plugs with properly rated cord ends, installed a new receptacle and breaker, and tested the equipment to make sure everything could handle the daily load safely again.

Seeing where this space started makes the finished result even better. As this shop-to-home conversion took shape, we handled the electrical work needed to help turn the unfinished structure into a functional, comfortable living space.

Sometimes an outdoor heater problem isn’t the heater itself—it’s the controls behind it.

At this Sandpoint property, the infrared heater wasn’t staying on as it should. After troubleshooting the system, we traced the issue to a faulty wall timer.

We replaced the timer, tested the heater, and confirmed everything was operating properly again.

It’s a small component, but it plays an important role in keeping the system dependable, convenient, and safe to use—especially when outdoor spaces need a little extra warmth.

For this project at the Skyline Apartments here in Sandpoint, we added recessed lighting throughout the breezeway hallways, bringing better visibility and a brighter, more welcoming feel to the space.

Projects close to home are always a good reminder of why we love what we do—helping take care of the community we’re proud to be part of.

Sometimes what looks like a simple hot tub hookup turns into a much bigger repair.

During this project in Sandpoint, we found the existing conduit packed with moisture, rust, and debris. Reusing it would have meant leaving damaged materials in place, so we replaced the conduit and wiring all the way back to the junction box.

We installed new conductors, verified the connections from the disconnect to the junction box, and completed every termination—including tracking down the correct screw for the ground bar. Once the system was tested and confirmed to be receiving power, we reinsulated and closed everything back up neatly.

The finished result is safe, reliable power for the spa and peace of mind for the homeowner. ⚡
