Hi, it’s Melissa! Bob’s wife and part of Mountain High Home Builders for those of you who don’t know me.

I’ll be honest… I don’t know a ton about home building but I do know when something is absolutely insane.

What you’re looking at is me standing on the drive slab. There will be a bridge that drives straight over into the garage. The tallest point of this steel? That’s going to be the great room window… and the rest of the home sits below that.

This will be a 4-story build, with a cabana on the lowest level.

It’s a massive undertaking. Watching our team and subcontractors bring this to life has been incredible. Even the homeowner said when these beams went up, it finally hit just how massive this project really is.

Mountain High Home Builders and the subcontractors on this job are absolutely crushing it on this one!

Oh baby… it’s go time. 🔥 We’re officially breaking ground on this one and couldn’t be more excited.

We feel incredibly honored to be building alongside some of the best at the Ridge at Sun Up Bay. This is a special place, and this project is going to match it.

Huge shoutout to Cornice Excavation for their expertise in clearing the way and creating the perfect pad for what’s to come.

This home is going to sit pretty with views that speak for themselves. Stay tuned… this one’s going to be something special. 👏

The Lakeshore Drive Project is officially moving forward.
The sun is out, load limits are off the roads, and it’s finally go time.
Today, Mountain High Home Builders, with the help of GRT Crane Services, is setting structural steel, marking a major milestone in the build.
Steel fabrication and installation by Jake Peters of Steelhead Ironworks in collaboration with Iron Mountain Studios.

As we head into the busy season, that mindset matters more than ever. No matter how full the schedule gets, we still treat every project like it’s our only one…because to our clients, it is.

There’s nothing better than coming home after a long, cold day on the mountain… skis off, gear dropped, and stepping onto a warm floor barefoot.
That’s the kind of comfort we’re bringing to life in our Tall Timber project.
We’re excited to have radiant floor heating going in, with tubing expertly installed by Moser Inc. Once in place, we cover it with gypcrete, a lightweight concrete that creates a smooth, durable surface while efficiently transferring heat throughout the home.
Radiant heat isn’t just about luxury (though it definitely feels like it). It provides consistent, even warmth from the ground up, making every room more comfortable and energy efficient.
Perfect for North Idaho winters.
This is the kind of detail that turns a house into a true mountain retreat.

To most people… it’s just a perfectly level stretch of dirt.
But to one lucky (and proudly crazy) horse girl… this is everything. 🐎✨

A proper riding arena doesn’t just happen overnight. We start by excavating and building a solid, level base. Then comes road fabric, topped with carefully placed and compacted gravel, and finished with premium arena sand dialed in for performance, safety, and longevity.

It’s the kind of detail that doesn’t always get seen… but makes all the difference when you’re in the saddle.

Huge shoutout to Basin Resources and Iron Mountain Trucking for supplying top-notch rock and sand, and Cornice Excavation for helping bring this dream to life.

Just a “small” project we snuck in between custom homes but one that means the world to the person who gets to ride on it. 🖤
