Factory finished red/white oak mix refinish!

We started this project on Thursday - which happened to also be my birthday. The greatest gift I have ever received is the opportunity to do something that I am passionate about that in turn makes others happy. These interesting people we meet, the beautiful places we work - all 'icing on the cake'

It's good!! Very good!

Another refinish. Maple by the lake! This one (for a return customer!) cleaned up crazy good. A little challenging removing the old shellac. Always is! Nothing we can't handle or haven't seen before that's for sure. Finished with Bona Clearseal & two topcoats of Traffic HD.

Did ya know shellac is made from beetles?? Fun floor guy fact of the day. Beetle juice as a wood finish, who'd have thought? Who figured that out! 🤷🏻

Centennial farmhouse refinish! I walked into this one and said 'oh boy' 😅

What looked to be varnish/shellac over top Douglas Fir usually is quite the undertaking to clean up.
Luckily, it wasn't too gummy and sanded just fine. It cleaned up great!
A few stains here and there but for 100 year old pine that had been covered with carpet most it's life - NOT BAD! Nothing under the sun is perfect, and being able to appreciate things for what they are is a virtue.

A very homey home in layout and design. The orginial unpainted trim is to die for! Not to mention the wallpaper 😍

Sounds like we'll be back here at some point for the staircase and second floor refinish when the project is further ahead. See ya soon!

Beautiful refinish on this yellow birch floor! Honestly, what's not to like? This floor has some pet stains and lots of wear! Sure cleaned up nice. We always go the extra mile - for everybody. When a client turns into a friend, it's only natural. We're just happy to be here doing our thing. Life is good and better everyday. Enjoy it!

It's amazing how removing the dingey old oil finish off can change the narrative. We live where we need as much light & airy spaces as possible!

Keeping a floor light & natural is a excellent way to brighten a space. It's really something to consider when we don't see the sun for 6 months!

This is a old world maple floor. Sanded & refinished with Bona Clearseal & two topcoats of Traffic HD for a very durable commercial grade finish system!

Whoa! Who would've thought! Check out the turnaround on this 1.5" white oak. I always joke that white oak is the original 'Grey LVP'.

This home was built in the 70s, based on the amount of overwood I don't think the floor had ever been sanded after the original install.

A real crowd pleaser this one!

Busy busy!

One of two projects we finished up on last week. This was a new #1 maple install with a staircase!

This floor was finished natural with 1 coat Bona Clearseal & 2 coats Bona Traffic HD on top!

Stained red oak in Chatham!

We installed the whole ground floor in this home around this time last year. Back this summer - we installed the staircase and the whole upstairs.

Sanded & stained it with Bona Provincial, twice topcoated with Bona Traffic HD.

This was a camp, built nearly 50 years ago. It actually never had anything over the subfloor until now! Felt good to be the hitter for putting some of the finishing touches on this long term project for some amazing clients. They have waited a very long time for this. So of course they hired the guys who really care to do it right - twice!

Curtis install finally wrapped!

We installed this Sheoga Hardwood Flooring white oak in this beautiful new build on S. Manistique Lake... I This was glue assist upstairs, full trowel glue over slab downstairs with a neat little staircase install, too.

Sanded & finished natural using Bona Clearseal & two coats Traffic HD in satin!
