A message from Craig Sears, Founder & President
Swimming pools have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I swam in my first race at the age of 5. I swam through college, earning All-American status in high school and college.. Swimming competitively led to swim coaching and lifeguarding, two of the best jobs I ever had, which I worked through high school and college. After gradua
ting from Washington and Lee University in 1996 with a degree in Biology, I entered the business world. It quickly became apparent to me that I needed to know more about business to succeed, so I enrolled in the MBA program at Georgia State University and graduated in 1999 with an MBA in Management. While in school at Georgia State, I started Sears Pool Management Consultants in 1997 at the urging of my neighborhood who requested that I return to manage their pool. I have served on the GA Board of Directors for the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals since 2008, serving as Chapter President 2012-2013. In 2012, I founded the Greater Atlanta Water Safety Alliance, a non-profit chapter of the NDPA (National Drowning Prevention Alliance) dedicated to community water safety education. My passion for aquatic education led me to become an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, NSPF CPO Instructor, and APSP Instructor. Iβve also earned the highest industry designations of APSP as a Certified Service Professional and Certified Building Professional. Now in our 20th year, with a full time staff consisting of an Operations Manager, Staffing & Sales Manager, Bookkeeper, seven (year-round) Maintenance Supervisors, a Service Tech, and two administrative assistants, my focus remains on providing the best quality services for our customers. I am blessed with a hard-working and dedicated staff who share this vision.
