Encore Surfacing here,your tub and tile reglazing service. I always request to be the last in the bathroom, excluding toilet,cabinets. Plumbing should be in and all painting completed. Why? I won't mess up the paint. But the other day I had to sand a tub to remo e all the splatter from painting walls and ceiling. It's easy for me to do unless the tub has already be reglazed. Then this splatter repair can damage the finish. My warranty does not cover construction damage from splatter,shoes,plumbing work etc.

The brown large area near the drain is what I call a tub pond. The tub has sunk in that area so it is holding water and this etches the ceramic. Over time it will get to the metal and start to rust. Although, I can glaze this tub to look like new it will need to be dried after each use.

This tub was previously done by an idiot. They used an angle grinder to remove the old resurfacing or to " clean " it. The circular gouges in the original ceramic is the results. The green is my material where I tried to repair the damage. Also, note the cone of shame from the spout to drain. This brand new construction was dripping so I installed my unpatented solution to finish sh the project.

The pear shape rust shown here is the perfect example of what I call tub pond. The weak tubs bend down and hold the water never draining and drying. So,the water turns acidic ,eats the ceramic coating and rusts the metal backing. The second photo is the tub after glazing and the rust spot looks like it's gone. BUT it must be squeegeed after each use to keep the rust from co.ing back

The first shot shows an acrylic tub/ shower with a cracked bottom. I reenforced the bottom then glued down a mat that is waterproof and comes with a five year warranty.
