New tile is going in, coping is being cut and set, and the details that will define the finished pool are beginning to take shape.

There’s still work ahead, but this is the stage where the transformation becomes much easier to see — one tile and one piece at a time.

Phase 2: Site Cleanup + Hydroblasting

With demo wrapped up, it’s time to get the pool ready for its new finish.

Phase 2 starts with a thorough site cleanup to remove debris left behind from chipping and demolition. From there, we move into hydroblasting—using high-pressure water to remove the remaining old plaster and create a clean, properly prepared surface for the next steps of the remodel.

It may not be the finished product yet, but proper prep is what sets the stage for a quality finish.

Phase 1 of this remodel is underway.

Before the new plaster, tile and coping go in, there’s a lot of work that happens behind the scenes. Days 1–2 are all about demo and prep—removing the existing coping and tile, cutting and chipping the old plaster, and getting the pool ready for the next phase.

Follow along as we take you inside the full remodel process, from the first day of demo to the finished pool. We’ll be sharing each phase so you can see what really goes into doing a pool remodel from start to finish.

Those rust stains weren’t just on the surface.

Corroded rebar beneath the plaster was causing staining to show through the pool finish. Our crew opened up the affected area, addressed the problem, and patched the plaster to get it looking right again.
