Every leak has a story.

This homeowner called after high winds and heavy rain started causing major leaks through the roof. Once we stripped the shingles, we found the problem wasn't the shingles themselves—it was what was underneath.

The original waterproofing along the eaves and rake edges had failed over time, and the roof sheathing had been fastened with staples instead of code-compliant ring-shank nails. Wind-driven rain doesn't need much of an opening to find its way inside.

To repair it, we:
✔️ Re-fastened the roof sheathing with ring-shank nails.
✔️ Installed ice & water shield along the first three feet of the eaves.
✔️ Covered the remaining roof with synthetic underlayment.
✔️ Sealed all pipe boots and roof penetrations with a waterproof membrane before reroofing.

I'm happy to say the leaks are gone.

Now we'll move inside to assess any water damage and get the home back to where it should be.

If you've noticed leaks after heavy rain or wind, don't assume you need a whole new roof. Sometimes the answer is finding the real cause and repairing it correctly.

Good morning! ISO a local metal fabricator/welder

Little different project we're working on!

We're currently framing out the interior of a steel building for a local dog business here in southern Maine, and the customer is looking for someone to fabricate five metal gates, roughly 3' × 3', similar to the picture.

I'd love to find someone local who does good, clean metal fabrication and takes pride in their work. I'll get you connected with the customer to go over final measurements, design, and pricing.

If you do this kind of work or know somebody you'd recommend, tag them below or send me a message!

A good project should do more than look better when it’s finished.

It should give you more usable space, solve an existing problem, and hold up the way it’s supposed to.

Not every project starts with something new.
Sometimes it starts with a phone call after something has gone wrong.

This restaurant experienced a burst pipe that caused extensive damage to the subfloor and flooring. We removed everything that was beyond saving, repaired the damaged subfloor, and installed new light commercial-rated floating vinyl plank flooring to get them back up and running.

Every project is different, but the goal is always the same: fix the problem correctly and leave it better than we found it.
I appreciate the opportunity to help local businesses get back on their feet.

A while back, we built the deck outside this addition.

Now we're wrapping up the interior portion with new paneling, new windows where old sliders used to be, and a new sliding patio door.

It's always rewarding seeing a project come together in stages. What started as improving the outdoor living space has turned into a bright, comfortable room with an incredible view.

Just about ready for paint and the final finishing touches.

I appreciate every homeowner who trusts us with their projects, whether it's a small repair or a larger transformation like this one.

Finished up another phase of this second-floor addition.

New windows where old sliders used to be, new sliding patio door, and fresh wall coverings throughout. Just about ready for paint.

Not a bad office view for the day.

Back at a project we built onto last year.

Last season we built the connected second-story deck along with the smaller lower deck underneath it. Now we’re back upgrading the attached second-floor addition/sunroom.

The room originally had 4 older sliding glass doors that were leaking and causing problems behind the walls. So we tore it back properly and started rebuilding it to support 3 new large frame windows.

So far we’ve:
✔ Removed all 3 leaking sliders
✔ Opened walls and repaired framing where needed
✔ Insulated wall cavities
✔ Installed new plywood sheathing
✔ Wrapped everything with Tyvek weather barrier

Next we’ll be cutting in and installing 3 large frame windows, installing a new slider on the deck side, then moving into the interior/exterior trim and siding work.

A lot of construction looks good when it’s finished. The real difference is what’s behind the walls after the job is done.

We try to approach projects with the mindset that if we’re going to open something up, we’re going to fix it in a way that gives the homeowner confidence long after we leave the site.

Honestly, getting called back by previous customers to keep improving their home is one of the best parts of this work.

Funny how a lot of rot repair jobs don’t actually start with “bad wood.”

They start with missing flashing.

Decks. Windows. Doors. Same story over and over.

A little water gets where it shouldn’t…
then a few seasons later:

- soft floors
- rotten framing
- swollen trim
- leaks inside walls
- expensive repairs nobody saw coming

Doing window work today and once things started opening up, you could immediately see where water had been getting behind the trim.

That’s why I talk so much about proper flashing and hardware — most of the costly repairs I see started as a small water issue someone couldn’t see yet.

With rot repair, once you start opening things up around windows, doors, and decks, you realize how often small water issues turn into major damage over time.

Not every problem needs full replacement either. Sometimes catching it early is the difference between a repair and a rebuild.

I’m a carpenter based out of Sanford looking to connect with a few solid sub crews for upcoming work:
• Demo crews
• Labor crews
• Small carpentry crews (decks, framing, repairs)
Looking for crews that: • Show up when they say they will
• Work clean and stay organized
• Can handle themselves without constant oversight
• Take pride in the finished product
I’ve got a mix of residential jobs and GC work, so there’s opportunity for steady work with the right people.
Day rates / project rates — open to discussing depending on scope and experience.
If you run a crew or are part of one, reach out.
Comment “CREW” or message me and let me know what you do.
