Just completed a panel upgrade for a barn in Krum, TX.

The existing panel was exposed to the elements, which was causing breakers to trip frequently and creating reliability issues for the property. On top of that, the system wasn’t built to handle the increasing electrical demand.

We installed a new panel designed for the environment and load requirements, giving the owner a much safer and more dependable setup.

If you’re dealing with tripping breakers or an outdated panel, it may be time to take a closer look. We’re proud to serve Krum and surrounding areas.

Another recent generator service call is a great reminder of why routine maintenance matters.

When our technician arrived, the generator had trouble starting. After a quick inspection, we found heavily corroded battery terminals and deteriorated battery cables. Over time, corrosion can build up and restrict proper electrical connection, leading to weak starts, intermittent operation, or complete failure when the system is needed most.

In this case, the issue wasn’t a major component failure — it was preventable wear and lack of maintenance.

After cleaning the terminals and replacing the damaged cables, the generator started and ran as expected again.

Generators are designed to sit idle for long periods, but that also means small issues can go unnoticed until an outage happens. Regular inspections help catch:
• Corroded or loose connections
• Weak or failing batteries
• Worn cables and components
• Fuel and electrical system issues

Routine maintenance ensures your generator is ready when you need it most — not when it’s already too late.

If you haven’t had your generator checked recently, now is a good time to schedule a service visit.

Ever wondered why many modern bidet seats recommend a dedicated electrical circuit? 💡🚿

A dedicated circuit means that the outlet powering your bidet is only supplying power to that one device. Many bidet seats include features like heated water, heated seats, air dryers, and night lights — all of which can draw more power than a typical bathroom outlet that’s already sharing a circuit with lights, fans, or other receptacles.

Here are a few benefits of installing a dedicated circuit for your bidet:

⚡ Improved safety – Reduces the risk of overloading a shared circuit.
⚡ Reliable performance – Your bidet can run all its features without tripping breakers.
⚡ Code-compliant installation – Many manufacturers recommend or require a dedicated line.
⚡ Future-ready – If you upgrade to a higher-end bidet later, the circuit is already ready to handle it.

We’ve been installing dedicated bidet circuits for homeowners all across Pilot Point, Valley View, Sanger, Gainesville, Callisburg, Flower Mound, Tioga, Collinsville, Sherman, Denison, Pottsboro, Aubrey, Lewisville, Little Elm, The Colony, and Carrollton. If you’re planning a bathroom upgrade, it’s a small electrical improvement that can make a big difference in both comfort and reliability.

If you’re considering adding a bidet seat or want to make sure your bathroom outlet is ready for one, we’d be happy to help! 🔧

⚡ Why Does My GFCI Outlet Keep Tripping?

A customer recently called us because their garage outlets kept shutting off. The GFCI would trip, get reset, work for a while, and then trip again.

After inspecting the outlet, we found the issue: the neutral and ground wires were extremely loose and actually pulled out when we removed the plug from the receptacle.

Loose wiring can cause:
• Intermittent power loss
• GFCI outlets to trip unexpectedly
• Potential electrical hazards

Once we properly secured the wiring, everything returned to normal and the outlets worked exactly as they should.

GFCI outlets are designed to protect you from electrical shock, so when they trip frequently, it’s often a sign something isn’t right.

If you have outlets that:
🔌 Trip often
🔌 Won’t reset
🔌 Randomly lose power

…it’s best to have them inspected by a qualified electrician.

Your safety is always worth checking.

Electrical Safety Matters ⚡

We just completed a full rewire on a home that had a mix of modern wiring tied directly into old k**b and tube — along with multiple open splices hidden in walls and ceilings.

This is exactly the kind of thing that makes electricians lose sleep.

Here’s why 👇

• K**b and tube wiring was never designed to handle today’s electrical loads.
• Tying new wiring into old systems can overload conductors that were meant for a completely different era.
• Open splices (wires twisted together without a junction box) are a major fire hazard. No containment. No protection. No margin for failure.
• Hidden connections make troubleshooting nearly impossible and increase the risk of overheating inside walls.

Over time, loose or overloaded connections create heat. Heat inside a wall cavity + dry lumber = a real problem waiting to happen.

The good news? This home's wiring is now addressed and brought up to modern safety standards.

If your home was built before the 1960s and still has original wiring — or if you’re seeing unboxed splices during renovations — it’s worth having it inspected.

Electrical work isn’t just about making things “work.”
It’s about making sure your family is safe long term.

If you have questions about older wiring in your home, we’re always happy to take a look.

🚨🚨MUST SEE!!! 🚨🚨
This is one of the many reasons why we offer generator maintenance plans. This customer had not had any maintenance done on their equipment until they noticed it not working. They called us and we were able to diagnose the problem quickly and put them on a regular maintenance plan. Luckily this was still within warranty!

⚠️ Home Inspection Alert: A Hidden Electrical Hazard ⚡

We recently received a call from a homeowner who was concerned about findings in their inspection report. They were told there could be potential electrical hazards and wanted a second look.

What we found is something we see more often than you’d think:
➡️ Newer wiring spliced into old k**b-and-tube and cloth wiring.

This is a major safety concern and a big no-no.

Older wiring systems like k**b-and-tube and cloth wiring were never designed to handle today’s electrical loads. Splicing modern wiring into them can lead to:
🔥 Overheating
🔥 Fire risk
⚡ Unreliable connections
⚡ Failed inspections or insurance issues

The good news? Catching these issues early—especially during a home inspection—gives homeowners the opportunity to fix them before they become dangerous or costly.

If your home inspection mentions outdated wiring or electrical concerns, it’s important to have a licensed electrician evaluate what’s really going on behind the walls.

📞 If you have questions about an inspection report or want peace of mind, we’re here to help.

We wish all of our wonderful past and future customers a very happy and successful New Year!

⚠️ Electrical Safety Alert: This Is NOT Normal ⚠️

This thermal image was taken during a recent inspection.
The main breaker was reading over 230°F.

To put that in perspective:

Electrical breakers are designed to operate far below this temperature

Excessive heat like this can indicate loose connections, overloads, or failing equipment

Left unaddressed, this can lead to breaker failure, melted conductors, or even fire

🔥 Heat is often invisible to the naked eye — but it’s one of the earliest warning signs of a serious electrical issue.

That’s why professional inspections and thermal imaging are so important, especially:

During winter heating season

Heading into spring storm season

As homes place more demand on electrical systems

If your panel hasn’t been inspected recently, or you’ve noticed:

Flickering lights

Warm breakers

Tripping main breakers

📅 Now is the time to have it checked.
