As part of this whole-home remodel, we completely reimagined the Kitchen, Living Area, and Dining Area to create a more open, inviting, and connected space. Originally, a wall separated the Kitchen from the Living and Dining Areas, so we removed it to improve flow and bring the heart of the home together. Brand-new hardwood flooring was installed throughout, setting a warm foundation for the redesigned layout. We added a kitchen peninsula and island with its own prep sink, providing ample space for cooking, entertaining, and everyday use. The island is topped with Spekva Brasilica Safari wood, while the perimeter countertops feature Soapstone Barroca, creating a beautiful balance of natural materials. To finish the space, we installed an Ogawa Green ceramic tile backsplash along with all-new kitchen appliances and plumbing fixtures, completing a Kitchen that feels both functional and thoughtfully designed.

On May 20th, Christi had the opportunity to speak with the inspiring young adults of the Women in Business Club at San Marcos High School. She shared a little about what Projects General Construction does, what goes into running a construction business, and some of the experiences, lessons, and stories that helped shape her journey along the way. As part of a whole-home remodel, this Primary Bathroom was completely reimagined from the studs up to create a seamless and elevated space. Breccia Capraia stone serves as the unifying element throughout the design, extending from the countertop to the shower ledge, cascading down the curb, and continuing through to the shower bench. Makoto Arashi Blue tiles accentuate the natural blues and greens within the stone, while Champagne Bronze fixtures subtly highlight its warm veining and add depth to the palette. In this remodel, we transformed an existing linen closet into a custom Coffee Nook designed for effortless mornings. The space features a discreet drawer refrigerator for milk and other perishables, a sink, undershelf lighting, Vibrant Brushed Modern Brass plumbing fixtures, and a stunning Lapidary Cabachon mosaic tile backsplash. In this Powder Room and Guest Bathroom remodel, both spaces were reimagined to achieve a refined, cohesive design.

The Powder Room was upgraded with a custom vanity topped with a new stone countertop, a new exhaust fan, and a striking tiled accent wall behind the vanity. Updated fixtures were installed throughout, and the space was completed with a stylish wallpaper feature and a fresh coat of paint, resulting in a polished and inviting finish.

The Guest Bathroom was transformed from a single-sink layout with a narrow window and a dated bath/shower enclosure into a bright, highly functional retreat. The redesigned space now features a dual-sink vanity with new stone countertops, a new tub and shower enclosure, updated tile throughout, and a new beautifully tiled floor. Finishing touches include all-new fixtures and hardware, complemented by a clean, crisp white paint palette. Take a look at the before and after of this bathroom!

As part of this whole-house remodel, we refreshed the Fireplace Surround, Dining Area, Primary Bedroom, Media Room, Guest Bathroom and Laundry Room—enhancing both functionality and design throughout the home.

The Fireplace was reimagined with a drywalled hearth base and a new Zellige tile surround. In the Dining Area, we fabricated and installed a custom corner banquette with piano-hinged seats that provide discreet, built-in storage. The Primary Bedroom was updated with new carpeting and a Mark Alexander Square Cut Parchment wall covering on the feature wall, adding subtle texture and warmth. In the Media Room, we removed an existing corner closet to open up the space and introduced a deep turquoise accent color to make the artwork pop. The Guest Bathroom was fully reimagined from the studs up, featuring heated tile flooring, a new vanity, and a stone countertop complemented by modern plumbing fixtures. The Laundry Room was upgraded with epoxy flooring, built-in cabinetry topped with a new stone countertop, and brand-new appliances, creating a space that is both practical and polished.

In this Primary Bathroom remodel, we removed the existing tub and tub deck and updated the space with a brighter, lighter tile design. All plumbing fixtures were replaced, along with the countertop and tub wall capstones. The tile flooring beneath the former tub deck was carefully patched, and the tub was upgraded to a freestanding slipper tub complemented by a new tile accent wall. To finish the space, the walls and ceilings were painted a slightly warmer white, creating a soft, cohesive backdrop for the new finishes. On March 4, 2026, Christi had the honor of serving as a panelist for the SBCA Women in Construction 2026 event. Joining her were an inspiring group of industry leaders: Kelly Wheeler, Licensed Civil Engineer and Founder of BridgeDoc; Rainy Dyer, Managing Partner at Deco Drywall & Plaster; and Alyssa Perez, Founder and CEO of APE Structural Engineering .structures . The event also provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with other remarkable women in the industry, including Summer from . Cheers to the thousands of women across the construction industry who continue to break barriers, create new paths, and inspire the next generation of Women in Construction!

In this whole-home remodel, we transformed a once-cornered Kitchen into an open, inviting focal point of the home. Originally tucked away and separated by two pony walls, the Kitchen felt disconnected from the surrounding living space. This beautifully reimagined layout was thoughtfully designed by Katherine Hogarty, whose vision guided the removal of the walls and the creation of a seamless open-concept design. A large new kitchen island now anchors the space, providing ample prep area, seating, and a dedicated prep sink. The range was relocated and centered between the two rear windows, paired with a custom built-in hood to create a balanced and visually striking focal point. To complete the transformation, we incorporated Bianco Cristallo Quartzite countertops, all-new cabinetry and hardware, and updated plumbing and electrical fixtures. Brass finishes throughout tie the design together with warmth and elegance. Explore the before-and-after to see the full transformation.

In this Primary Bathroom remodel, we carefully removed a cast iron clawfoot tub and a portion of the existing tile. We introduced a custom tile rug as a thoughtful design solution because an exact match to the original tile was no longer available. The tile rug allowed us to access the subfloor to relocate the tub filler plumbing to the center of the window and remove an unused floor drain—without the challenge of attempting to patch together demolished tiles. To complete the transformation, the entire bathroom was refreshed with a new color palette, seamlessly tying the space together around the Statuary Spring stone tile rug.
