As part of this whole-home remodel, we reimagined three bathrooms and the home’s outdoor living space, blending custom craftsmanship with thoughtful material selections.

Guest Bathroom 1 features a custom-fabricated vanity with a stone countertop, Fornace Avorio Matte porcelain tile at the tub surround, and Heath Ceramics Persimmon tile flooring, complemented by all-new plumbing and electrical fixtures.

Guest Bathroom 2 was updated with a custom vanity and countertop, Heath Ceramics Chamois tile flooring, and new plumbing and electrical fixtures throughout.

In the Primary Bathroom, we installed a custom vanity and countertop, Heath Ceramics Barley and Olive tiles in a basketweave pattern on the floor, and an eclectic wall covering, finished with updated plumbing and electrical fixtures.

Outside, we rebuilt and refinished the deck and installed a new concrete fireplace, creating an inviting extension of the home’s living spaces.

In this Kitchen remodel, we took the space down to the studs and thoughtfully rebuilt it with custom cabinetry, all-new appliances, and updated fixtures throughout. The reimagined layout centers around a new island featuring a prep sink and bar seating, creating both a functional workspace and an inviting gathering area. A custom dry bar was added in the corner, complete with gallery rails and open shelving to elegantly display glassware.

A unique aspect of this project was the quartzite countertops, which featured slight translucency in certain areas. To ensure a seamless and cohesive appearance, we painted the cabinet sub-tops white so that any natural variation or translucency in the stone would blend effortlessly with the overall finish. The space is completed with new plumbing fixtures, hardware, and lighting, resulting in a clean, elegant, and cohesive Kitchen design.

As part of this whole-home remodel, we reimagined the Stairwell Landing, Library, Piano Alcove, and Bedroom, enhancing both function and character throughout these spaces.

At the Stairwell Landing, a former utility closet housing the heater and water heater was completely reframed and relocated to a new exterior utility shed. This allowed us to transform the interior into a custom inset shelving system, accented with elegant wallpaper and a sliding ladder for both beauty and accessibility.

In the Library, we fabricated and installed bespoke cabinetry and shelving, complemented by a refined wall covering and a new Jøtul freestanding fireplace to create a warm, inviting focal point.

The Piano Alcove was elevated with a custom stained shelving system, thoughtfully integrated with concealed electrical wiring to support new lighting fixtures.

In the Bedroom, we refreshed the space with new hardwood flooring, updated paint, and brand-new windows, bringing in more light and a renewed sense of comfort and cohesion.

In this Primary Suite remodel, we took the space down to the studs and reimagined both the layout and functionality throughout. The bathroom plumbing was reconfigured to create a more refined design, transforming what was once a space with a tub and carpet flooring into a beautifully updated retreat featuring a new shower enclosure, tile flooring, and a custom vanity with a new countertop and thoughtfully selected hardware throughout.

Extending into the bedroom, we removed existing wallpaper, replaced drywall where needed, and removed all carpeting. The space was then reframed to accommodate a new walk-in closet and improved door openings, creating a more cohesive and functional Primary Suite.

As part of this whole-home remodel, we completely reimagined the Kitchen, Living Area, and Dining Area to create a more open, inviting, and connected space. Originally, a wall separated the Kitchen from the Living and Dining Areas, so we removed it to improve flow and bring the heart of the home together. Brand-new hardwood flooring was installed throughout, setting a warm foundation for the redesigned layout. We added a kitchen peninsula and island with its own prep sink, providing ample space for cooking, entertaining, and everyday use. The island is topped with Spekva Brasilica Safari wood, while the perimeter countertops feature Soapstone Barroca, creating a beautiful balance of natural materials. To finish the space, we installed an Ogawa Green ceramic tile backsplash along with all-new kitchen appliances and plumbing fixtures, completing a Kitchen that feels both functional and thoughtfully designed.

On May 20th, Christi had the opportunity to speak with the inspiring young adults of the Women in Business Club at San Marcos High School. She shared a little about what Projects General Construction does, what goes into running a construction business, and some of the experiences, lessons, and stories that helped shape her journey along the way. As part of a whole-home remodel, this Primary Bathroom was completely reimagined from the studs up to create a seamless and elevated space. Breccia Capraia stone serves as the unifying element throughout the design, extending from the countertop to the shower ledge, cascading down the curb, and continuing through to the shower bench. Makoto Arashi Blue tiles accentuate the natural blues and greens within the stone, while Champagne Bronze fixtures subtly highlight its warm veining and add depth to the palette. In this remodel, we transformed an existing linen closet into a custom Coffee Nook designed for effortless mornings. The space features a discreet drawer refrigerator for milk and other perishables, a sink, undershelf lighting, Vibrant Brushed Modern Brass plumbing fixtures, and a stunning Lapidary Cabachon mosaic tile backsplash. In this Powder Room and Guest Bathroom remodel, both spaces were reimagined to achieve a refined, cohesive design.

The Powder Room was upgraded with a custom vanity topped with a new stone countertop, a new exhaust fan, and a striking tiled accent wall behind the vanity. Updated fixtures were installed throughout, and the space was completed with a stylish wallpaper feature and a fresh coat of paint, resulting in a polished and inviting finish.

The Guest Bathroom was transformed from a single-sink layout with a narrow window and a dated bath/shower enclosure into a bright, highly functional retreat. The redesigned space now features a dual-sink vanity with new stone countertops, a new tub and shower enclosure, updated tile throughout, and a new beautifully tiled floor. Finishing touches include all-new fixtures and hardware, complemented by a clean, crisp white paint palette. Take a look at the before and after of this bathroom!

As part of this whole-house remodel, we refreshed the Fireplace Surround, Dining Area, Primary Bedroom, Media Room, Guest Bathroom and Laundry Room—enhancing both functionality and design throughout the home.

The Fireplace was reimagined with a drywalled hearth base and a new Zellige tile surround. In the Dining Area, we fabricated and installed a custom corner banquette with piano-hinged seats that provide discreet, built-in storage. The Primary Bedroom was updated with new carpeting and a Mark Alexander Square Cut Parchment wall covering on the feature wall, adding subtle texture and warmth. In the Media Room, we removed an existing corner closet to open up the space and introduced a deep turquoise accent color to make the artwork pop. The Guest Bathroom was fully reimagined from the studs up, featuring heated tile flooring, a new vanity, and a stone countertop complemented by modern plumbing fixtures. The Laundry Room was upgraded with epoxy flooring, built-in cabinetry topped with a new stone countertop, and brand-new appliances, creating a space that is both practical and polished.
