Good Tuesday morning ☀,

🌦 Looks like we may have an interesting weather season ahead, starting September 1. I believe we have 2 months before it starts. NOAA’s latest August 13 update shows El Niño is here and strengthening quickly, with more than a 90% chance of becoming a very strong El Niño this fall/winter.

The latest Niño-3.4 reading is around +1.8°C, and NOAA currently gives a 69% chance that October–December reaches an exceptionally strong level.

For Santa Barbara and Southern California, this could mean a greater potential for a stormier, wetter winter, including more Pacific storms and atmospheric rivers. That said, a strong El Niño doesn’t guarantee a wet winter.

NOAA expects El Niño to continue strengthening through the end of 2026. Compared with what we were seeing this spring, winter 2026–27 now looks increasingly favorable for a wet and stormy pattern.

The next big NOAA update is September 10.

🐾 Meet the newest member of the Action Roofing team... and our official mascot, Posey! 💙

Posey is Jack’s adorable new Labradoodle puppy, and she’s already making herself right at home. Whether she’s greeting customers in the office or riding shotgun in the Action Roofing truck while Dad is out on inspections, she’s always ready to brighten everyone’s day.

If you stop by the office or see us out in the community, don’t be surprised if you’re greeted by a wagging tail and a puppy smile. We can’t wait for you to meet Posey! 🐶🏠

Good muggy Tuesday morning,

What remains of tropical storm Elida is just west of us in the pacific, this will bring us more humidity today. (https://zoom.earth/maps/satellite/)

As mentioned yesterday we warm up each day today. With temps peaking Wednesday and Thursday.

Just summer like weather here in our neck of the woods.

Summer is heating up and will be with us through mid October.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, it is another Monday morning.

Summer has arrived with great summer weather for all your outdoor activities.

It sure is nice waking to 63 degrees with nice mornings and great evening with warmer temps.

No sweatshirts or jackets needed this time of year .

This week we will see Another warm week as we will get warmer each day of the week, then mid-week we will get hot again . Just look at those temps rising Wednesday and Thursday https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-119.686&lat=34.436

Expect hot weather all week as highs will be in the 90s all week long.
