JT Resources is a family owned and operated Company, founded on the belief that hard work today builds a better tomorrow. Now in its 11th year of operation, the owners’ desire to provide a customer-service minded labor service that also provided opportunity for employees is growing and thriving as a result of family-care balanced with professional operations. Decisions are made with a long-term mindset, with a focus on relationships, accountability, and doing our work the right way.

JTR’s operation includes two key components: the field and operations. Our field team is more than 100 members strong, while the operations side includes a dozen dedicated teams across sales, dispatch, field coordination, human resources, safety, and accounting. Each position plays a crucial role in supporting our client jobsites and ensuring that communication, workforce management, and compliance are handled with care and attention.

This combination allows us to stay responsive while maintaining the organization required to support nearly 50 project sites and clients daily.

Meet the Team: Matt Millett, Chief Operating Officer

Our Meet the Team series continues this week with Matt Millett, Chief Operating Officer, who helps support the people and systems that keep JT Resources moving forward every day.

Role at JTR
As COO, Matt’s focus is centered on three priorities: Culture, Efficiencies, and Expansion. In simple terms, that means helping teams work well together, improving how work gets done day to day, and supporting smart growth into new markets without losing what makes JTR strong.

What He Enjoys Most
Matt enjoys working alongside a team that takes pride in doing things the right way and looks out for one another. The work matters because it impacts real people, on both the client side and within the workforce, and that responsibility is taken seriously at JTR.

Professional Strengths
Matt brings a steady approach to leadership by helping create clarity across teams, removing roadblocks, and building consistency so people can do their jobs well. His goal is to support strong communication, dependable ex*****on, and a workplace where expectations and support go together.

Fun Fact
Every summer, Matt unplugs for 3 to 4 days with his boys to backpack in the Sierra Nevadas. It is a chance to slow down, build memories together, and reset before jumping back into the pace of everyday life.

Our Meet the Team series continues with Tomas Tapia, one of our Field Operations Coordinators (FOC). Tomas has been part of the JT Resources team for eight years and plays an important role in supporting our teams in the field every day.

Tomas enjoys the hands-on interaction that happens on job sites, especially when it comes to troubleshooting problems, finding solutions, and staying aware of what crews need to succeed. His day-to-day focus is helping the field stay supported, prepared, and safely moving forward.
