More EKM Meters spotted out in the world
… this time helping out at Community First! Village, a development of the Mobile Loaves & Fishes organization in Austin TX.

Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. This transformative residential program exists to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.
The village has an innovative mix of affordable housing options, including RVs, canvas cottages and Micro Homes.

“The rent structure for the tiny homes included electricity. However, the original design of these micro homes did not include air conditioning. For individuals wanting to add AC to their home, we needed a way to account for the extra electrical usage. EKM meters provided a great solution. We are now able to read the meter and charge for the extra usage without having to increase rent across the board.” said Ben Palmerlee, Sr. Purchasing & Logistics Manager.

A recent visit took us to one of our customers, DayOneSolar, to see how they are employing EKM Omnimeters and PUSH3 systems in the field. Their Operations Manager graciously showed us how one customer is using EKM Omnimeters, a PUSH3 gateway and Encompass billing system to identify how much of the solar generated energy installed on a warehouse roof is being used by each warehouse tenant, in order to bill them fairly for their energy usage.
DayOneSolar also uses EKM meters to help determine how much battery capacity is required when their solar customers wish to add battery back up systems. https://lnkd.in/ge-65npU
