Safety is everyone’s responsibility. ⚡
Today, safety coordinators and cooperative employees from across New Mexico are taking part in the 2026 NMRESIF/OAEC Safety Coordinators Conference in Albuquerque.
The conference is focused on strengthening the culture of safety across our electric cooperatives through education, collaboration, and shared best practices. Topics include accident investigation, contractor management, safety trends, claims, regulatory updates, and practical ways to reduce risk in the workplace.
Through the New Mexico Rural Electric Self-Insurers Fund (NMRESIF), participating cooperatives insure themselves collectively, making strong safety practices important not only for protecting employees, but also for helping reduce claims and control insurance costs across the group.
