Thank you, Spokane! 🌲 A few things we’re bringing home from Housing Washington:

📐 The WA Starter Home Plan: a taxpayer-owned plan to scale starter homes through pre-approved plans and committed volume.
🏗️ Tedd Benson on dimensional standards: “liberating, not limiting.” And on the next ten years: “there is no plan B.”
🪵 Blockhouse: mass timber homes in the South Perry District. We toured it and stayed there!
🦌 And these downtown deer, just looking for some green. We hear you.

Builder? Architect? You’re in the right place.
Join us for the B.PUBLIC Sessions: Pro Series — a relaxed, info-packed Zoom session where we dig into how to work with B.PUBLIC’s Passive House–ready prefab panel system.

Whether you’re new to panelized construction or already knee-deep in Passive House specs, this is your chance to ask questions, get into the technical details, and learn how to bring B.PUBLIC’s system into your next project. Hosted by our Principal Architect and team, these small-group conversations are the best way to see if B.PUBLIC is a good fit — and how to get started.

No fluff, no pressure — just real talk about smart building with people who get it.
Check bio for dates and times of upcoming online events.

A big B.PUBLIC thank you to the folks at bozemanbs.beer for organizing what ended up being the highest attendance event in the chapter history; to tumasonbuilds and Paul M Tumason for the invitation to come support you in Montana as two of the most experienced prefab installers we know; and to Studio Cohab for hosting us at your beautiful common house in Bozeman Cohousing. Mariana and JD had an amazing time visiting with old friends and new colleagues. We hope to be back again soon!

We're honored to be an instructional partner on MOVING House, just awarded a 2026 Housing Education Prize by AIA and ACSA. Led by Rob Corser and Julie Kriegh at the University of Washington, the project pairs panelized Passive House construction with design-for-disassembly engineering to build housing that Coast Salish Tribes can adapt as sea levels rise, echoing traditions of seasonal relocation that go back generations. Starting spring 2027, students, Tribal members, and builders will design and construct a prototype together. Our West Coast team will be there, working to support students and community leaders in understanding how to design for this use case with prefab panels.
