Our wall, roof, and floor panels provide the high R-Value for the thermal envelope in the Santa Fe Institute Gurley Forum, while the feature LAMILUX skylight from our partners at 475 High-Performance Building Supply floods the main hall with daylight, making the whole space come alive. Daylighting was central to the design intent here, and it delivers without sacrificing performance. 475 will be joining us as guests at our next Installer Training, June 26–27 in Las Vegas, NM. The Gurley Forum sits just north of our Santa Fe studio, and the project remains a special one for us. The Santa Fe Institute is a world class research center for complex systems science, and SFI staff architect Tom Easterson-Bond set out to build a space as worthy of the ideas inside it as the mountain landscape around it. Our studio worked closely with the SFI team to develop a custom design that integrates our high-performance envelope into an architectural vision that blends steel, glass, and locally sourced materials.

Fresh photos from one of our most distinctive builds yet. The Gurley Forum at the Santa Fe Institute pushed our panel system into new territory with B.PUBLIC panels fully integrated with a steel superstructure to create a 6,000-square-foot lecture hall and event space that opens onto the Tesuque Valley. This kind of hybrid structure is unique in our portfolio and demonstrates how high-performance prefab panels adapt to architectural ambitions well beyond the typical residential project. Equally impressive: the whole construction crew came through B.PUBLIC Installer Training before breaking ground.

The studio team has been growing too! We're so lucky to have these three. 🙌

Chris is our new in-house structural engineer out of Washington state, working across AEC projects, our B.HOME Collection, and R&D. He also survived Installer Training, so he's officially one of us.

Clare is a designer and Certified Passive House Consultant based in Colorado. She is a former B.PUBLIC client turned team member, with a background in environmental design, hands-on building, and firefighting.

Madeleine keeps things running smoothly from our Santa Fe office — from marketing and events to client services and operations. She also plays fiddle in a h***y tonk band, which tells you everything you need to know. 🎻

Thank you to Jess & Ryan for being great clients and amazing ambassadors for .publicprefab. Your home was a tour favorite at the North Carolina High Performance Home Tour! This is a grest photo of you with our designer Natasha who got to meet all the lovely visitors from near and far that saw the house this weekend. Congratulations to Jeff Hopper of Hopper Construction who had two homes on the tour this year! What a beautiful sustainable example that will last for generations with remarkably low energy forever.
