Congratulations on Your Retirement Joe! 🎉♻️

After 15 incredible years with Engel & Gray and an amazing 60 years in the workforce—starting his very first job at just 16 years old—today, we celebrate Joe Fowler as he begins a well-earned retirement.

As Operations Manager at our Regional Compost Facility, Joe has played a key role in turning organic waste into a valuable resource, helping advance sustainable practices across the Central Coast. His leadership, dedication, and steady commitment have made a lasting impact on our team and the communities we serve.

While we’re sad to see him go, we couldn’t be happier for this next chapter.

North Carolina, you’ve been warned… Joe is on his way! 🌲🚛 We wish you endless adventures, plenty of time to enjoy the things you love, and all the happiness retirement has to offer.

Harvest season is almost here, and that means another busy season for vineyards across the Central Coast 🍇

As local wineries begin bringing in this year’s crop, we’ll be doing our part behind the scenes by giving grape pomace a second life. Instead of going to waste, this winemaking byproduct is transformed into Harvest Blend Compost, returning valuable nutrients and organic matter back to the soil.

It’s a simple cycle with a big impact—supporting healthier soils, stronger vineyards, and a more sustainable future for our region.

Here’s to another successful harvest season. 🌱

We are proud to be one of 19 Santa Barbara County stops participating in SEEAG's Annual Farm Day. Visit us for a behind-the-scenes look at our Regional Composting Facility, learn how compost is made and benefits our farming community, take home complimentary Harvest Blend Compost, and enjoy hands-on activities for the whole family.
