Happiest of Holidays Everyone! 2026 is the year that Blake will be retiring! We have enjoyed working with you all and we hope you continue to be successful in all your endeavors! I will be shutting down this FB page when all of his current materials are gone and then that will be it! We are glad to have been a part of your projects - Take care and Merry Christmas!

Just a general FYI for our clients, we are reducing our territory. As of June 20, 2025, we will no longer be going over the Conejo Grade into Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, or any other of our previous locations to the south of us. This will also include the Malibu area and Simi Valley. Blake will continue to concentrate his work in the Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Port Hueneme, Ojai and Carpinteria areas for the present. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we transition to a slower pace of life before he retires completely. Take care and as always, please give us a call if you have any questions regarding pricing or scheduling.

It has come to our attention that several "GOOGLE" type sights have stated that Blake Schwermer Showerpans is no longer in business! We have also heard this from several clients and from several Tile Stores and this is TOTALLY FALSE!! We are and will be in business for the foreseeable future! So, please please please contact us if you want the BEST hot mopper for your showerpan needs in Ventura County and beyond. Blake is an expert in this field. He has been a licensed waterproofing contractor for over 38 years and has been instrumental in training several other hot mop waterproofers as well. We specialize in showerpans, recessed or traditional, so give us a call at (805) 551-3494 when you are ready to upgrade the value of your home!

The economy is a bit volatile at the moment with inflation creeping upward after the COVID-19 pandemic. Our material and transportation costs have definitely increased in the last several months. Please call for pricing on any of your showerpans that are larger than normal aka 3' X 5' so we can give you UTD prices for your bids/quotes. Hope you're all enjoying the summer!

Yay!! 2020 is almost done and we've nearly reached the finish line for the year. Thanks to all of our customers for another successful year. We value each and every one of you and appreciate your confidence in Blake's showerpan skills!! Repeat business is the best and we do appreciate your referrals, especially since we don't advertise. Take care, have a wonderful "socially distanced" New Year! Stay Healthy and Safe and hopefully we'll all be over this COVID-19 restriction deal soon.

Well, it's almost Christmas and we are nearing the end of 2020. It has to be, in some ways, one of the most difficult years for so many people, yet, Blake and I have been very fortunate that we are still able to do our jobs and pay our bills. We live in a rural area so doing the COVID-19 Quarantine hasn't been too bad - there is always something on the ranch that needs to be done! That said we hope that all of our friends, customers, and family have a wonderful holiday season and try to remember that even in hardship, joy can be found. Look for it in the small things - a child's happy smile, a cat or a dog doing something funny, a beautiful brisk winter day or a senior that finally gets to see their relative - happiness is there if you look for it. Stay strong and stay healthy and Merry Christmas!!

Not to jump on any scare tactic bandwagons, but, we do want to be safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. That being said, we will not be shaking hands with our customers and we will be trying to keep some "social distance" as we do our part to not provide new targets for this virus. Please don't be offended if Blake seems a little distant (if he can resist the urge to shake your hand, lol) but since we are a mom/pop business we want to keep working and we can not do that if we get this virus and need to self quarantine or worse become ill and pass it on to any of our clients. We would feel horrible if anyone became ill because of us. So, if you are ill or being quarantined, please give us a call to re-schedule your job - it's only a showerpan and we'll work you back into the schedule as soon as this pandemic slows down. Thanks for your understanding and patience. BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER!

Happy New Year to all of our clients, old and new. We hope that 2020 will be a wonderfully fulfilling and successful year for your business. We are looking forward to a few changes this year and trying to be more mindful of our time and yours. Change is always happening, no matter what, and we seldom embrace it because it is unknown. That being said, it's going to happen whether we want it to or not, so we'll try to keep you informed ahead of time of any drastic changes to our business that may affect yours. Thanks and Have a Wonderful Day.

Happy Rainy Day Wednesday!! Here is a tip for being a considerate client on any end - buyer or seller: If there is certain documentation that you will need for your construction job please let the contractor know what is required by you, your contractors, your bank, or your insurance company PRIOR to the start of any work. It is extremely unfair if you contract to do a job, the job gets done and then you start to require certain documents. It really blindsides the contractor who is doing the job to hamper his payment when you never told him in the first place that you require additional paperwork. For example if you need a General Liability certificate or an a G.L. certificate naming you additionally insured then you need to let him know up front because if that is not something he/she is comfortable giving you, it's not fair to expect to get it when he has already completed the job in good faith. The same goes for work authorization forms and master subcontractor agreements, etc. etc. It makes no sense to have to sign those "agreements" after the fact. I have already done the job. If you want me to sign something that is binding, I may need to have my attorney look at it first. Any good business person would not sign something without reading it or being advised legally if it's going to be binding. Please don't expect that to happen after the fact - it's not only misleading, I don't believe that you would have the law on your side to withhold payment based on that.

We have some exciting news to pass on. It's kind of a good news/bad news scenario. The good news is that Brett, one of our excellent hot moppers has gotten a job with Southern California Edison and while we are very happy for him on this new chapter in his life, the bad news is also that Brett is moving on with a new job! That means that Blake is back to being our one and only hot mopper. In the meantime, we have a few tract jobs that we accepted in another county that need to be completed, so Blake will be very busy doing those out of town locations. Please try to give us plenty of advance notice for your local jobs so we do not delay your jobs.

It will take us a bit to get back in the groove of being a "mom and pop" business again, but please be patient with us and know that we really dislike inconveniencing any of our customers. We are not planning on hiring and training any new employees at this stage of our careers, we are just going to try to manage our business for just the two of us going forward.

Have a wonderful day, week and Happy Fall everyone.

Happy July 5th! Just wanted to give a quick update that Blake and Brett, our stupendous hotmoppers, will be on vacation next week on their annual Lake Havasu trip!! The office is still open and your calls will be answered by Rebecca. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but they need to recharge their batteries so they can come back refreshed and with renewed purpose!! Lol! Take care, and give us a call to get those jobs scheduled for the week of July 15.
