It's been awhile since I've posted here, but this is a TV cabinet I modified to fit a modern television. All solid cherry and veneer, I matched the doors and the color to the existing cabinets, and looks exactly like it's supposed to be there. Another very satisfied customer on the books. She was thrilled with the service of everyone that completed the project. Well done!!
I also want to extend a huge thank you to my friend, colleague, and brother from another mother, Marvin Shebroe for his continued support and friendship of over ten years. I can't express enough what is meant to me both past and future. I look forward to future work with the Audio Video Helpers, and a future kitchen for the Shebroe household which had been requested.
I'd also like to take a minute for a personal note, as I've been "unreliable at best" for the better part of 2022 and 2023. Anyone that follows my personal page is aware of some intimate details, around my struggles with depression and post traumatic stress disorder. I started speaking publicly after losing a family member a year ago to a drug overdose. I've struggled with depression for most of my life, and had my bouts with drugs and alcohol at the worst of times, and I'm grateful to be here. I'm happy to say that through treatment and hard personal work, that my life is now filled with the things I've needed to replace those vices.
Nobody should suffer in silence, but unfortunately we live in a world where many of us are surviving, not thriving. After my crisis was over, I literally had to teach myself how to build cabinets again. How to do very basic tasks and just showing up, on time proved to be a difficult task too. Don't let anyone else tell you what you need to get better. I live in a world of luxury, go into some very expensive homes for some very wealthy clients. My day to day seemed very surface, compared to the things I was dealing with on the inside.
Many many people fight battles everyday that you just know nothing about. I have some amazing friends and clients that I'm grateful for. Just be kind, and know that what you see on the surface is rarely a good representation of what goes into it, everyday.
So without further ado, before and after pictures of the cherry wall unit.
Thank you!
