Jack Cox is chairman for the Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children and we are thrilled to announce the upcoming date for the 14th Annual Clays for Kids (formerly known as Fannie's Fun Shoot), a charity s***t shoot.

This year's event will be on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Sarasota Gun Club.

Think you can outshoot the competition? Teams will move from station to station, breaking clays, earning points, and competing for bragging rights while supporting a great cause.

We've had three wonderful interns this summer and Emma, pictured here, celebrated her last day with us this week. She is pursuing a degree in Construction Management at the University of Florida and is entering her junior year. She has been accepted into the prestigious M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management, demonstrating her exceptional academic achievement, dedication, and commitment to the construction industry.

We are all so proud of her and excited to see what she achieves in the future.

We had a SUPER time at the Florida Educational Facilities Planners' Association conference last week. FEFPA was started in the early 1960’s as a cooperative effort between a small group of school districts’ facilities planners and the Department of Education, Office of Educational Facilities (OEF) to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and promote cooperation between Florida School Districts and OEF. Each year we attend, we come back with greater vision for continued collaboration with local schools.

Throwback project spotlight! As we look back on our Wimauma Elementary School project, which wrapped up in 2022, we're proud to have helped create new learning spaces and campus improvements that continue to serve students, staff and families today.

This project included a new 21,000-square-foot building to house classrooms and other educational spaces, added covered walkways to the new building, a new parent pick up and drop off loop, a new parking lot to serve the new building and an extension to the school’s cafeteria.
