Throwback Thursday to the completion of the Wellspring headquarters in 2021.

Wellspring moved from a small space on Broadway in Saratoga Springs to an 8,000 SF mission-based facility on Route 9 in Malta. After years of planning, a fundraising campaign, and support from community members, the nonprofit’s vision became a reality.

Designed by Balzer + Tuck Architecture with site design by The LA Group, the new facility includes private counseling offices, a children’s playroom, a large conference room, a spacious waiting room and reception area, open office space for field counselors, and a break room.

The new space allows Wellspring to provide much-needed help to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Saratoga County. It also gives the organization room to expand programs in creative arts, financial literacy, and workforce development, along with professional training, leadership seminars for students, partnerships with local businesses, podcasting sessions, and more.

Completed in August 2026, this 2,250 SF, 8-stall barn expansion for Rood & Riddle adds space to support the practice’s continued growth.

Since constructing Rood & Riddle’s Equine Hospital in 2016, we were proud to return for this expansion, which connects to the existing barn through a breezeway.

The new barn features wood trusses, concrete masonry units, structural steel beams provided by Bonacio Steel, board and batten siding, and split-face concrete masonry units to match the existing buildings. Designed by Balzer & Tuck with site work by The LA Group.

We have a new home in Rome, NY!

Our new office is now open in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park.

While many know us for our work in Saratoga Springs, our projects span the Capital Region, the Adirondacks, and the Mohawk Valley, including affordable housing, commercial, and industrial developments. From carriage house to condos, 124 years in the making.

Last week, The Waldorf at 122 Regent Street received an Adaptive Reuse Award from the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Built in 1902 as the carriage house and stables for Douglass Mabee’s Stoneleigh estate, this building has lived many lives. It became Mabee Hall at Skidmore College, then home to a church, and later the Waldorf School. When it came on the market in 2024, we saw an opportunity to honor its story while giving it a new one.

Today, The Waldorf is five private, low maintenance condominiums with garages, just steps from downtown and the track. The original masonry, red slate roof, and even the Mabee family’s original weathervane (returned by Douglass Mabee’s great grandson) are all part of the home’s next chapter.

Thank you to our team who accepted the award: Tony Bonacio, Vice President; Paul Lambert, Construction Project Manager; and Nick Welch, Site Supervisor. And a huge thank you to our partners Keith Buff of kpb Architecture and The LA Group for bringing this vision to life.

The final beam is in place.

Yesterday we celebrated the Steel Topping Off of the new MetLife office building at Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome, along with our partners, project team, and community leaders.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared remarks: MetLife, NYS Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, NYS Senator Joseph A. Griffo, Mayor Jeffrey Lanigan, the City of Rome, Mohawk Valley EDGE, and Pioneer Bank. A topping off is a milestone the whole crew earns, and we were glad to mark it with the people helping bring this project to Rome.

Big things are taking shape in Rome. 🚧

Construction is underway and the foundations are being poured for MetLife’s new 102,000-square-foot corporate office at Griffiss Business & Technology Park in Rome, NY. This three-story headquarters will feature structural steel fabricated by Bonacio Steel and is set to become a major addition to the region’s growing business community.

Also, visible in the background is our Air City Lofts apartment community!
