Miss you Richard Ca
It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected and tragic passing of our friend and WLF team member, Rich Cannata.
Rich was a Local 4 Road Mechanic, but the reach of his work—and, more importantly, the reach of the person he was—extended across every corner of W. L. French. Rich knew everyone. The drivers, foremen, operators, laborers, office team, and, of course, everyone in the shop.
His work brought him into contact with nearly every part of our company, and along the way, he built relationships everywhere he went. He was well respected and well liked, not only within WLF but far beyond it.
Rich was an incredibly talented and dedicated mechanic who took tremendous pride in his work. But what we will remember most is not simply what Rich did for WLF—it is who he was to the people around him.
He was kind. He was loyal. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was a trusted team member and a true friend.
By every account, Rich was simply an incredible guy—the kind of person no one could say a bad word about. And beyond WLF, he was a deeply loved son, brother, family member, and friend.
The depth of the sadness we are feeling today is a reflection of the kind of person he was and how much he meant to so many.
His sudden passing is a painful reminder of just how fragile life can be. We ask everyone to take a moment to pray for Rich, his family, his closest friends, and all those who knew and loved him.
As we navigate the difficult days and weeks ahead, we will honor Rich’s life and his memory in a way we know he would have wanted.
Rich, you will be deeply missed. Your impact here will not be forgotten, and you will always be part of the W. L. French family.
Rest in peace, Rich. ❤️
