We wanted to take a moment to display a recent completed cover install job on a ‘88 Mustang GT, and discuss a common problem we have noticed with aftermarket covers;
Customer brought us pre-purchased covers from a well-known aftermarket parts supplier. The finished job looks great, but unfortunately it required extensive work and re-patterning to fit properly. Unless the covers are new OEM, we have found about 75% of all the aftermarket covers we have installed require some sort of modification to properly fit. We’ve all seen at car shows the interiors that look wrinkly and loose due to poor fitment. Some covers are made so poorly, that it may not make sense to use due to the amount of work needed to make them fit. We can also make one-off custom covers (depending on application).

These ‘65 Mustang seats needed some help! New foam and covers. We completely tear down the seats to the bare frames. Replace any broken springs if needed. If the customer requests, we can have the frames sand/soda blasted and painted, or we can have them acid dipped, and have them black zinc coated.

A few furniture projects done. A jack-knife love seat, and Dinette cushions recovered in a motor home. This customer unfortunately had the typical peeling, cheap vinyl that is commonly used in RVs nowadays. We replaced it with quality vinyl that won’t peel again.

The antique reclining chair was brought in and needed a completely new seat base rebuilt and new back foam. Many antiques have a spring bases that can come apart. We can remake the base with a more solid and dependable foam base, or if they like, we can rebuild the spring base and restore it to original condition.

1930 Model A interior done! We always involve our customers into the designing of our interiors. We combine their ideas/wants/needs with our expertise and this is the end result. Customer wanted something comfortable, simple, yet fit to the style of the hot rod and meet their budget. This car had many challenges that required modifications and fiberglass work to install and create some of the trim and finish panels. There are 5 different textures in this design. We have a combination of quality grained and embossed vinyls, soft suede, plush weave headliner fabric, and square weave carpet.
