⚒️ National Roofing Week – Employee Appreciation ⚒️

At Durable, National Roofing Week is about more than the work we do—it’s about celebrating the people who make that work possible.

From the field to the office, our team brings dedication, craftsmanship, and professionalism to every project. Their commitment to preserving historic structures and carrying forward traditional trades is what makes Durable special.

To celebrate National Roofing Week, we treated the entire company to lunch as a small thank you for the hard work, skill, and passion our employees bring every day. Whether they’re installing slate, fabricating copper, restoring masonry, coordinating projects, or supporting our operations behind the scenes, every member of our team plays an important role in our success.

We are proud of what we accomplish together and grateful for the people who make it happen.

⚒️ National Roofing Week – Employee Training ⚒️

At Durable, our emphasis on training and development makes our craftspeople uniquely equipped to tackle restoration projects of any size utilizing highly specialized skills.

Through our industry-leading apprentice program, we combine in-house technical courses with hands-on field training in slate/tile roofing, copperwork, masonry, and carpentry. We also emphasize cross-training, so our craftspeople understand how the trades connect and how they affect a structure.

Because safety is at the core of everything we do, all field employees receive training in fall protection, scaffold use, lead awareness, and equipment handling.

Today we’re spotlighting Annaburg Manor, built in 1892. In 2021, we restored this architectural beauty to its original façade and roof using accepted historic preservation practices and materials.

Swipe to see our restoration of the manor, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

On this Memorial Day, we reflect upon and honor the sacrifice of our fallen service members.

Pictured is Huntington Chapel at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus. Green Lawn is the final resting place of over 6,000 U.S. Veterans, including five Medal of Honor recipients. In 1891, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument was erected at the site in remembrance of Civil War veterans.

Our crew is currently restoring the chapel’s dome, replacing the stained-glass skylight and restoring the copper to its historically accurate design. This restoration preserves the chapel’s history and honors the legacy of those who are buried there.
