Position Title: Crew Chief/Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Overview:
Oversees ground maintenance/landscape crews, coordinating workers'
efforts to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds, and use of equipment under their care.
Responsibilities:
•Supervise all ground maintenance services of the crew and that the crew members
are always operating safely.
• Safely driving crews to and from jobsites and adhering to company's safety policy.
• Ensure that the public will be safe while in contact with crews.
• Complete inspection of jobsite upon completion.
• Ensure that employees are clocked into work.
• Assist in employment of crew members.
• Communicate with the operations manager for each day’s job assignments at hand.
• Responsible for loading and securing all tools, equipment, and supplies onto your
assigned vehicle for the next day’s tasks prior to leaving the yard and upon
returning from the site.
• Responsible for promptly reporting and proper documentation of all accidents and
injuries regardless of the severity of the occurrence so a record has been made for
future reference.
• Responsible for making sure equipment and vehicle problems or damage is reported
to operations manager so repairs can be made to keep the equipment in working
order for the next day.
Requirements:
• Must be able to perform job responsibilities that require physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• 3 years’ experience in the mowing field.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be legally able to work in the U.S.
• Ability to interact professionally with all clients, employees, and any external
organization.
• Must possess a current Class C Driver’s License with clean MVR records.
• Must possess a valid DOT medical card.
• Must pass 10-panel drug screen.
• Must be able to work some weekends.

Pivotal Duties:
• Direct activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to coordinating workflow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machinery.
• Manage personnel effectively and efficiently.

• Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance.
• Track and record all job expenses, including but not exclusively materials and hours worked.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.

Extraordinary Work Conditions:
• Must maintain regular and reliable attendance at a level acceptable to the company, including
the ability to work overtime, holidays, evenings, or weekends, as necessary.
• Position requires extended work hours and flexibility in scheduling. Including
evening or
weekend hours as needed.
• This work is primarily performed outside in all sorts of weather conditions (i.e., hot, humid, cold, wet, windy, rain, snow) which means the person will need to be adequately prepared. May be required to work weekends and holidays.
