🔨 MID-PROJECT UPDATE

There is a lot happening at this Savannah home!

Our team has been making progress throughout the property, completing repairs and improvements that will help bring new life and function back to the home.

This photo shows one room after the new subfloor was installed and prepared for the next stage of the transformation. There is still plenty left to do,and the homeowner has now added work in the master bedroom to the project as well!

We’re excited to keep moving forward and can’t wait to share the finished results.

📝 WHAT THE ESTIMATE ACTUALLY COVERS

Two kitchens can look the same size and require very different work. Here’s why.

One homeowner might want new countertops and a backsplash while keeping the cabinets and layout. Another might need cabinets removed, plumbing moved, electrical changes, and repairs to what’s behind the walls. The rooms may be the same size, but those are very different projects.

That’s why Miguel asks how you want the kitchen to work, not just how you want it to look. The estimate is built around the work discussed: what stays, what changes, the materials selected, and the labor needed to get it done.

If you’re comparing estimates, look closely at what each one includes. A lower number may be describing a smaller scope of work.

What would you want to change first in your kitchen? Message Coastal Contracting to talk through your project, or call 912-508-8031

🔨 Small Repairs Protect the Bigger Picture

Wood rot around a window may begin as a small exterior issue, but leaving it exposed can allow moisture to continue causing damage.

For this returning Coastal client in Savannah, our team:

✔️ Repaired wood rot around two front windows
✔️ Caulked and sealed the repaired areas
✔️ Primed and painted the window trim
✔️ Gave the front door trim a fresh coat of paint

It wasn’t a full exterior renovation, and it didn’t need to be. Taking care of targeted repairs and routine maintenance can help protect your home while keeping its exterior looking clean and well cared for.

Whether you have one damaged area or an entire project in mind, give Coastal a call.

Nothing too big. Nothing too small.

Everybody's over here making money on Vinted selling stuff they don't use anymore. 💸🛍️

Meanwhile, contractors are sitting on 47 pieces of scrap wood, leftover tile from 2019, random cabinet doors, and approximately 6,000 screws that don't match anything. 😂🔨

Could they sell some of it? Absolutely.

Will they? Absolutely not.

Because apparently, "We might need that one day" is a legally binding agreement in the construction industry. 🤣

At this point, it's not leftover materials. It's a retirement portfolio.

And here at Coastal Contracting? Let's just say we have a few employees who could probably open their own Vinted… if we could convince them to part with anything. 👀😂

🍝 Happy National Pasta Day!

Some of the best family conversations happen while the pasta boils, someone’s stirring the sauce, and everybody keeps sneaking a taste.

A kitchen doesn’t have to be brand new to make those moments easier. Sometimes better lighting, more counter space, or a layout that actually works for your family can change the way you use it every day.

If your kitchen makes cooking together feel more crowded than cozy, Coastal Contracting can help you make room for the good stuff. ❤️
