During the summer of 1964, our founder Oscar Hansen broke ground on Armstrong State College, marking the beginning of an incredible chapter in Savannah's educational history. Originally founded as Armstrong Junior College in 1935 in downtown Savannah, the college relocated to its 250-acre Abercorn Street campus in 1966, where it stands today as part of Georgia Southern University. Oscar Hansen went on to serve as the architect for all 10 buildings on campus, a true testament to his vision and lasting contribution to our community. A proud moment in Hansen Architects history!

We are honored to share that a home designed by Hansen Architects along Ponte Vedra Boulevard in Florida has made headlines for a truly remarkable reason. The nearly 10,000-square-foot Spanish Colonial style residence, built by Dana B. Kenyon Company, recently sold for $20 million with all proceeds benefiting The Sontag Foundation, one of the largest private funders of brain tumor research in North America. The home was born out of love and vision, and we are proud to have played a role in bringing it to life. What a beautiful reminder that the homes we design can leave an impact far beyond their walls.
