🌱 Twin Holley’s Tips – Winter Trimming (Zone 7) 🌱

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean your landscape should be ignored — this is prime prep time in Zone 7.

🍂 Winter cleanup matters
Clearing out leaves, dead branches, and spent plants helps prevent pests and disease and gives your landscape a clean slate before spring wakes everything up.

🌹 Roses need cut back before Valentine’s Day
Late winter is the sweet spot in Zone 7. Pruning now encourages strong new growth and sets roses up for fuller, healthier blooms when warm weather hits.

🌸 Hydrangeas also benefit from winter trimming
Most hydrangeas appreciate a cleanup — removing old blooms, dead wood, and weak growth helps the plant focus its energy. (Timing depends on the variety, so this is one plant you don’t want to guess on.)
