Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) is a type of bituminous asphalt mix commonly used for road surfacing. It consists of a mixture of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, filler (such as limestone dust), and bitumen binder.

Key Features of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA):

A. D. Williams Construction Company Inc. has an immediate opening for a self-motivated individual to join our team as Utility Pipe Foreman. We are licensed Grading, Paving, & Utility Contractor based out of Savannah, GA with 50 years of experience and are looking to expand our workforce. Daily job operations include installation of underground water, storm water and sanitary sewer utility lines. This position requires supervision and coordination of staff to safely accomplish tasks required to complete projects as outlined on design drawings. This position is full time and offers competitive wages and full benefits package. Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have at least 5+ years of experience as a pipe foreman.
Coordinate daily activities of 3–5-man crew.
Submit and review employee time and evaluate crew production/progress.
Must possess ability to communicate professionally with owners, engineers, project managers, employees etc.
Actively inspect work site for potential safety concerns or health hazards. Hold crew accountable to company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Must be able to look ahead and plan accordingly.
Maintain good attendance record.
Must keep work area neat and clean.
Able to read and interpret design drawings.
Excavator, loader, and dozer operating experience is a must.
Must have fluent knowledge of water main installation (Fire and Domestic).
Must have fluent knowledge of sewer main installation and lift station construction preferred.
Must have fluent knowledge of deep trench excavation, backfill and compaction practices.
Must have fluent knowledge of confined space safety regulations.
Must understand line and grade and be able to operate pipe laser and other trade required instruments.
Must have knowledge of erosion control BMP’s, Blue Card holder is a plus.
Knowledge of jack and bore as well as horizontal directional drilling a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver’s license.
5+ years of experience as foreman.
Knowledge of DOT, OSHA & GSWCC regulations.
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

EXPERIENCED TRUCK AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Operate and inspect machines of heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects.

Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.

Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.

Must have vast knowledge of small and large diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, components.

This is a physically demanding job so the candidate must be capable of lifting heavy objects and climbing over large pieces of construction equipment and into small spaces.

Must have your own tools.

Clean MVR Required
