Some things that go bump in the night are scary. But sometimes, the real nightmares happen in broad daylight.
Here's a cautionary tale from a commercial landscaping job site that reminds us just how quickly things can go wrong.
An irrigation crew was wrapping up a day's work at a busy shopping mall. Their equipment was loaded, trailers were parked, and everyone was getting ready to head home.
But there was one little problem. Someone forgot to secure a trailer. 😱
And this wasn't just any trailer. It was carrying a large Ditch Witch.
Without wheel chocks to keep it in place, gravity took over. The trailer started rolling downhill, picked up speed, traveled nearly 50 feet, and crashed into a parked car.
The scariest part? There were people inside.
Thankfully, those involved reportedly escaped with minor injuries, but the vehicle was totaled. And the potential consequences for the crew? Insurance claims, legal headaches, and reputational damage.
At New Rivers Landscape, stories like this remind us that doing the job right means more than leaving a property looking beautiful. It means paying attention to details, securing equipment, and prioritizing safety.
Because the only thing we want haunting your property this Halloween is a few decorations. 👻
Stay safe out there, folks. Some mistakes can haunt you long after the workday ends! 🌿
