Today was spent scrolling through a series of websites researching and applying for events this coming fall and winter. Applications are submitted to a few, discussions with organizers are happening with others. I'm hoping by the end of June/beginning of July I'll have a good sense of where I will be when.
What is my biggest impediment? Money for the entry/booth fees. The events that are more likely to lead to good sales cost more money.
Second biggest impediment? Distance to the event location. I try to stay within an hours drive of home. I can go farther, but the greater the distance, the more money/time it takes.
All of these affect the bottom line. I'd really like to make something close to a profit this year. Breaking even would be awesome.
Ah, the joys of owning ones own business.
