Volcanic ashflow ‘Tuff’, central Oregon. The material had a fashionable stint as a veneer throughout Oregon in the late 80’s - mid 90’s. It’s time was finite like it’s deposits… this remaining piece, sourced from a generous suppliers’ “boneyard”, is a personal treasure. More to follow

“Rustic - Refined”

Client sought a megalithic fire pit that appeared to be something like an ancient antiquity. The result was this scene here; a locally - sourced columnar basalt selected for it’s (relatively) high refractory test to create a massive thermal mass wall, rustic air - fed fire pit, accent boulders and an 8” polygonal basalt cobble entry.
