Team-worked this beefy backyard Cottonwood with the help of GRTree LLC and Carlson Hardscapes this week. The tree was mostly dead and very crispy in spots. Electrical lines, a nicely landscaped bed, and a nearby deck made for fun a challenge.

Jumbo Spruce had most certainly outgrown its space. GRTree LLC brought in the Dingo to do the heavy lifting and grinding. The homeowner stated they were surprised how big their back yard actually is. A clean slate to work with. The Honey locust in the background was trimmed in the process.

If you lost trees in the June storm, now is the time to start replacing them. The City has a tree rebate program to help with the cost of planting trees on your property. Residents may receive a rebate up to 50% (up to $150) for the cost of trees planted on their property. The rebate program runs from August 15th to October 15th. Finished up a large Locust removal today with GRTree LLC help. Straps had been placed last week to secure the severe split until the power line could be dropped, giving access for a bucket truck. This tree spread over both the homeowner’s and neighboring property, making for tight quarters and a potentially hazardous set of circumstances.

Photo dump of today’s Mulberry removal. It hung directly over a chain linked fence and over the neighbors detached garage. Some rigging and tlc were required. This tree was larger and heavier than it appeared.thanks GRTree LLC for the assistance

Photos from today of a mature Spruce removal with GRTree LLC. While this Spruce appears quite healthy, it had substantial issues hence why the removal was needed in a timely fashion. The root system could be seen moving during our recent high winds and a large split can be seen in the junction of the major leaders of the tree. The largest lead went directly over the homeowner’s bedroom. One of the reasons why it’s important to check your trees regularly to prevent damage to your property.

Today’s task was a large brush pile cleanup. Working this through the chipper was hard work for sure but it ended up looking really nice. It opened up a large amount of space for the homeowners of this beautiful property and provides plenty of mulch to spread about.
