Scottsboro Solid Waste Department Provides residential, commercial and industrial garbage collection The City owns and operates its own landfill located at 650 County Road 412, Hollywood Al.

The City of Scottsboro Solid Waste and Recycling Department provides residential, commercial and industrial garbage and recycling collection within the corporate city limits. At this location we also operate a Construction and Demolition landfill.

ATTENTION!!! PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE!
RE: PRESIDENT’S DAY HOLIDAY

CITY OF SCOTTSBORO RESIDENTS, We will be operating on normal schedule. Although the Jackson County Solid Waste will be closed, we will be running normal routes. Please don't get confused, they don't service the city limits of Scottsboro, and we do not service outside of them.

SCOTTSBORO SOLID WASTE, CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM, RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE, & THE LANDFILL

All SSWD operations will commence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 8am instead of 6am.
Operate as normal, just a delayed schedule for tomorrow. For now, we will be day to day.

ATTENTION!!!

Due to the threat of inclement weather, Solid Waste will be on a delayed schedule. Whenever we are able to get out in the roads safely we will start picking up Garbage and Curbside Recycling. Please go ahead and put out your items if you can by 6am, and just leave it. We will run every route as soon as we can.
