After much thought, we have made the bittersweet decision to close Gibson’s Portable Buildings on October 15th. I have decided that it’s time to retire. ❤️
What started almost 15 years ago as a hobby—or maybe just a way to keep a retired truck driver busy—turned into something we never could have imagined. That little side project grew into a true family business, gave us the opportunity to work with some wonderful people, and introduced us to so many amazing folks throughout the Scottsboro community.
For more than a decade, we’ve had the privilege of serving this community, meeting new people, making lifelong friendships, and watching Gibson’s grow into something so much bigger than we ever expected.
To every customer who stopped by, purchased a building, sent a friend our way, or simply supported our family over the years—THANK YOU! We truly could not have done it without you. ❤️
We also want to give a special thank you to H&S Portable Buildings and Carefree Rentals for their many years of partnership, support, and friendship. We are so thankful for the relationship we’ve built over the years and for everything you’ve done to help make this journey so special.
And while Gibson’s Portable Buildings is closing, we’re happy to say that H&S Portable Buildings and Carefree Rentals will continue selling buildings at the same location, so you’ll still have the best place to go when you’re looking for your next building... new name, same buildings!
It’s been a long, wonderful, and amazing run. We are leaving this chapter with full hearts and so many great memories. Thank you, Scottsboro, for supporting our family and our little business for all these years. We will always be grateful. ❤️
It has truly been a pleasure doing business with you
