To more weekend projects, coffee in hand mornings at the garden center, and choosing flowers together for the next little corner of home.
Funny how some of the simplest days with my husband have become some of my very favorite memories.

My Arizona yard has officially forgotten it lives in the desert… and I have absolutely no intention of reminding it. 🌸🌵
Flowers everywhere, hummingbirds overhead, a glass in my hand, and nowhere else I’d rather be.

Maybe that’s the real dream. Not needing an escape from your life because you’ve made home somewhere you genuinely want to be

Zinnias said, And?
There’s something ridiculously satisfying about watching a flower bed thrive in a climate that should have other plans.
Arizona gardeners, this is your sign to grow the flowers anyway.

I really thought wisteria might be one of those cottage garden plants I’d just have to admire from afar because… Phoenix.

The one growing over the playhouse has always done beautifully, but I convinced myself it was because the big tree and its position protected it from the harsh Arizona sun.
Then this one started thriving on the trellis completely exposed, full sun, all day. 😳
There’s a little damage near the bottom, but that’s actually on me. I’ve been away and haven’t been as consistent with watering as I normally am.
And somehow, she’s still growing beautifully.
I already loved wisteria, but watching it prove me wrong in the Arizona desert has officially made it one of my favorite plants in the garden. 🤍
So if you’re dreaming of your own Arizona cottage garden, save this one to your plant list. Wisteria might surprise you too.
