When programmed properly smart irrigation timers are a fantastic tool. Water savings and plant health are phenomenal at this Paradise Valley property. Notice the red raindrops on the calendar. The Rachio smart timer downloads the weather and makes irrigation adjustments. The system irrigated two times in December.....in the desert. Looks like it is forecasted to irrigate again on January 8th, this will change if we continue to receive more rain.

Smart irrigation timer rebates. Many municipalities offer rebates for installing a weather based smart timer. City of Scottsdale, AZ and Chandler, AZ offer $250.00 rebates. This rebate will cover 100% cost of the device.

https://rachio.com/ has a timer with a really nice app. Make sure to purchase the outdoor enclosure if it located outside your home.
